Good interview, positive as usual & tenacious. Liked the joke, when asked about possible threats on Saturday at Colchester, Adkins saying "the ref".

Slightly concerned about the "might have to wait till the summer" comment, but let's wait & see.

As far as the JTW recruit goes we have been here before same comments different manager. KM gave us an insight into investment at the AGM, squad to big, need to move players out to allow incoming,, Half way through JTW one player out permanent one on loan Wallace, with the best will in the world I can't see Shrewsbury stumping up his full wages so hell of a lot of work to do yet.

Saying we need more tempo is one thing. Getting it is another. Getting it consistently is a whole new thing.

When we play with tempo, I doubt there is another team in the division that can live with us. Wigan, after their wobbly start, look to be the best team in the division but when United had tempo, we murdered them and came back from 0-3 to draw. Against Bradford and Peterbrough, we played with tempo in patches - particularly vs. Bantams - and looked a good side. Despite the defeat against Posh, I thought we were the better side and they simply got their tactical approach right though it gambled on speculative long range shots flying in the top bin. However, when our tempo is not there, we look poor. It seems that we don't start with high intensity and tempo, end up behind and then tempo gets us out of trouble - how many times have we mounted, admittedly not as impressive as at Wigan, a comeback from 1 or 2 down? I recognise that there is a balance between flying out of the blocks gung-ho and maintaining a solid back line but if we came out of the blocks how we finished vs. Wigan or how we did in impressive spells vs. Bradford and Posh, we'd have teams beaten by half hour in this division. Fitness is key, solid defence when the opposition break is just as key but I don't see why, particularly at BDTBL, we don't fly out of the traps. When we play with intensity and tempo, we're the best side in the division. When we don't, we're one of the worst.
