Was just about to post the same – glad someone else remembers that this is completely in line with Adkins's approach.

Though I suppose in defence of everyone else, it's been quite a long time since we've digested a post-match interview after a decent performance and result...

I didn't think he sounded pissed off or anything, probably that it just seemed he was distracted or his mind was elsewhere.
 
If anyone ever thinks there is any truth in what any of the halfwits post of VIP Blades then they need to take a long hard look at themselves..........
 
Adkins was probably relieved after enduring a very difficult few weeks given a number of fans on social media and at matches have called for his head lately.

He's also been left to carry the can whilst the board have been absent in recent weeks so I dare say he was just glad to not have to defend another abject performance.

Also, as a number of others have commented, the departure of Collins and the increased number of youngsters being involved has certainly lightened the mood! That, and a 3-0 win!
 
I noticed a change in his tone today but to me he sounded more relaxed than usual, less like he was trying to defend a bunch of wankers.

Maybe he is just glad to see the back of Collins? Seems like he was a very influential presence and it was doing Adkins any favours.

In fact without wanting to sound too melodramatic, it felt to me like a bit of cloud had been lifted from the players and club as a whole today. Can't explain it really but even before the match I just sensed a more positive vibe.

In any case, today was just what we all needed. 9 more performances like that please gentlemen.
 
Maybe he's realised soft NA is no good grown a pair of balls and no longer taking any shit off anyone. Lets hope so!

There is a couple of people on there that do get actual information but the rest are just wannabe nut job wankers.

I think you're right. Me and Jr were talking about the possibility of a "Post-Collins Bounce" on the way up Shoreham St at 2:30 this aft. We were so sure of it that we had a few bob on 3-0 Utd. Well chuffed :)

If Karanka has quit Boro, then wow. In addition to Derby's ridiculous struggles, it really goes to show what a hard league the Championship is.
 
I know Karanka must be pissed off with the Millers result but he should either come out and say he's leaving or staying, so what a load of unnecessary bollocks it'll have all been if he resumes for the next game after Charlton!

To leave when they're second in the league and got the best team would be just bonkers, he's obviously a mardy arse and thrown his toys out of the pram. How hard does he think the Prem will be should he stay and they go up??
 
i had a joke at 2-0 up that you'd think we were 0-2 down how animated he was on the touchline. but i doubt that story is true because he if he didnt blow his top after the performances of wigan bury burton in last month he never will. but on karanka, i find this whole thing strange because they are 7 pts of with 2 games in hand ?? in with a great shout of automatic promotion & he's had a bust now whether this was a tactic to try to shock them out of any complacency or a genuine ive had enough i dont know. that this guys mentor/teacher was jose mourinho will tell you its more complicated than usual

He's probably been trying to sound upbeat because he fears the sack.

With today's result and possibly being given the green light by the board, Collins leaving and 'John the' coming in before that seems to suggest the sack is not imminent, he probably doesn't feel like talking a load of cheerful bollocks for once. Which has to be a good thing really.
 
Oh you're such a shrewd devil Mr Adkins, you planned this all a long. You had us all thinking our season was over and that our team was a miserable bunch of wage stealing slackers. But just like Rocky in the films we've taken blow after blow and humiliated to the point of throwing in the towel. But now 36 games in. . . . . . . We have all of a sudden remembered how to play the game of football?
