Bloody hell Barn, you'll have more accounts than Harry Redknapp's dog at this rate.
I know, it's all a bit of a mess up at the moment.

When Foxy comes on though, I should only have the one account 'Barney' to post on.

Bloody hate it having more than one, don't know whether I'm coming or going.

I think there are two problems, ie they are all at best very mediocre league one players and also that they do not care about much other than a massive wage.
You know what Hello you might just have nailed it there.
We havent really got any special players at the moment very mediocre thats why we are in the position we are in.

Are you going to apologise to Adkins for misquoting him, you absolute flange!
I haven't misquoted him. That's exactly what he said.

I don't think the "they don't care" was intended directly at the fans by the way, in case that's how you think I've misquoted him, in which case it would have been misinterpreted (for your information).

The way I saw it, he was referring to the fans commenting on the players' attitudes, which was out of order in my opinion.

It is too simplistic to say they don’t care. That is the overall impression you get watching as fans but in reality, even in a kick about with your mates, everyone who plays football has a competitive side and wants to win and cares about it. I think the bigger problem is that they are not matching or exceeding opponents for effort, dedication, bravery etc. bar a handful. That doesn’t mean they don’t care at all. It probably does mean they don’t care enough.

It's odd isn't it? If I'm playing a competitive team sport I care about winning and contributing to the team. Even non-competitive. If I play an individual sport I care about playing well more than winning. Our players don;t seem to care about playing well or winning as part of a team. They do their little bit and it works or doesn't. They don't seem to care about helping each other or working together.

Maybe they all each realise what bastards the rest of them are but don't see it in themselves?

and a one-trick centaur at that - "Adkins out, Adkins is rubbish", "oh did I tell you Adkins is rubbish, Adkins out"

I don't know how you manage to cope. I have had one account on here, and had it for years and that is hard enough to cope with, so Christ know how you are managing 2?

Good job TrueBarny doesn't have a football team to run.........

"It's easy to throw that comment in, they don't care"

That's about the final piece in the jigsaw of managerial mistakes.

It's all about context and of course you've failed to quote the rest of the sentence which gives it context, he went on to say "believe me, I care" and went on to say that he demands that the players care.

That sounds fair enough to me and the reason he feels the need to say it is exactly because fans are saying that the players don't care. Quoting doesn't mean criticising and I don't take what he said as a criticism of the fans, though I can understand why you would You clearly have trouble with what things mean, as in "I haven't been since Millwall" which to 99.9% of posters on here mean you were at Millwall and you continue to claim it doesn't mean that at all.

I want the players to do the job they are paid to do, win games of football the results are all that matters. I don't expect them to kiss the badge, call us massive or praise the fans or cry when they lose I couldn't care less because when they move they will say and do the same thing at their new club. They are not supporters of SUFC no matter how much some supporters hope they are it's a job end of. The likes of Dane Whitehouse are very few and far between IMO

Yep there's only us here for the duration

The debate about how much players care is an interesting one and something that has been discussed on 5 Live this week in regards to Newcastle and Villa players.

All the ex-pro's commented that all players care. I think the difference is the level to which they do care and are willing to put the effort in - which comes down to the manager.

Take Liverpool for instance. Now under Klopp the team as a whole is running 6 Kilometers on average more per game than they were under Rodgers. That's the equivalent of having half an extra player on the pitch. Granted - Klopp's style is slightly different to Rodgers, but Rodgers still wanted a pressing game. The players obviously cared under Rodgers, but somehow, Klopp has now got them caring even more - and enough to be willing to run an average of 6K more per game.

I'm sure our players do care....but do they care enough to run, fight, scrap more every game. Do they care enough to not go out at weekends. Do they care enough to put in extra work on the training ground out of hours?? Ultimatley that comes down to a manager and how he motivates the squad. Managers like Warnock get that out of squads almost instantly, some may take more time. I'm hoping Adkins can, but so far after 6 months - the squad appear to "care" less than they did under the previous regime.

hang on I thought you were Trueblade now?? Please don't tell me you are participating on this forum with two accounts at the same time! Or is it a case of Norman Bates and his mother, never to be seen at the same time?

If the players are trying and putting the effort in, which I believe they are, then that's Fukin scary.
