Fucking hope not. It's gash!

We'll have to disagree here mate! I loved the Umbro narrow strip kits of the late 80's and early 90's. Great times and a great kit - in my view. Unlike the Adidas kits which have the obligatory red sides or black sides like this season. Granted this season's kit looks decent but why can't they do a shirt with complete red and white stripes is beyond me.

Woman in shop probably said we weren’t having a 3rd kit this season then she looked out of the shop window to see people queuing round the car park for an old Adidas template shirt and people being threatened with violence for flogging them on eBay! ;)
We weren't supposed to be having a 3rd kit this season or last, but both times had to cobble one together at the last minute (Walsall last season?)

Better than the Pigs, all theirs are cobbled together. Not seen build quality like that since the days of Lada's and Trabant's ;)

Not seen build quality like that since the days of Le Crab Sportif in the early 2017's. ;)

Because our kit is red, white and black...

When the Adidas deal runs out it's got to be Lonsdale or Everlast for me to go with my other gear. Maybe Slazenger.
Would look ace with my new trainers
Slazenger - a once-great company (used by Bradman, Sobers, Richards, Hutton, amongst many others) now reduced to a Mike Ashley sub-brand.

I think the main reason for having solid sides is to maintain consistency across all sizes (same number of stripes). It avoids XXL shirts having around 3 extra stripes.

Another reason would be so they don't repeat what happened with our Laces Shirt. Some had a solid red middle stripe. Some had a solid white middle stripe. Some didn't have a central stripe at all. They just had the cloth and didn't care where it was cut.

The biggest let down on our current shirt for me is the 3 Adidas stripes are on the shoulder. They would've looked great in white, down the black side panels for me.

No mate. Adidas couldn't actually do a striped shirt that was traditional so they made it a solid red back on this shirt But the Adidas three stripes at the top of the shirt piss me off as well - it interrupts the flow of the stripes. I am a purest on striped shirts but that's largely because we rarely get one these days.

It was exactly the same as the Adkins season one apart from the sponsor

Exhibit A - A fine body of men (and some jug-eared bloke) posing for the kit launch photos.
Stripes start at the neck & end half-way down the arms:

Exhibit B - JOC celebrating at Walsall.
Stripes start at the shoulders and go all the way down the arms.

The defence rests (as indeed they did at Walsall that day...)

BerksBlade good work. However would it have been easier to say that the shorts were a different colour ;)

I'm disappointed in myself for never noticing that

Could we not court Stone Island to knock us a new kit up ?
Imagine the confusion at away matches with several hundred Blades suddenly deciding it's a good idea to wear the replica shirt on the road.....
