Needed, and this might shock a few but i think John Fleck is not being dynamic enough in driving thru the centre with the ball, think he did it once today, you have to do it to drag the central defenders out and create space for Sharp and Co to do the damage.

I like us keeping possesion but they get to a yard or two infront of the penalty area and the ball gets knocked sideways two many times for me.

An Adel Taarabt type middy has got to be the midfielder that Wilder is wanting, whats out there that can fit the bill.

This is just an opinion so dont go all narky on me.

Someone like Taarabt but without the golden bollocks ego and attitude!

Not going to criticise Fleck too much but thought he had a poor game today

Think today we lacked a wide player to bring on who had a bit of pace. I think we're pretty dominant in the centre midfield position and there wasn't much space there. Very little was doing through the middle and Lafferty and Freeman weren't getting too much joy down the wings.

We need a replacement for Chapman!

I think when Duffy is at his best, he provides that outlet. He just wasn't at his best today.

Fleck has been a wee bit off of late.

But I strongly believe the holy trinity have sufficient quality to see us out this god forsaken division at long last.

Form is temporary. Class is permanent.

Agreed. We need someone that can turn a tight game where the opposition are sitting in for the draw on it's head.

Would have fitted into this team pretty well if he hasn't fucked everything up (twice!) and wasn't into taking drugs (twice!)

Fleck getting some bad reviews today - not sure that's fair. Not a great game for him but he did a lot of very good stuff.

It was a poor match for him though JD - thought he gave the ball away far too often with misplaced passes. However, he still has a lot of credit in the bank as far as I am concerned - everyone has an off day from time to time.

Duffy's the Adel Taraabt type. He just didn't have that great a game today. Not that it mattered too much because plenty of others did (including Fleck I thought, despite the 2 or 3 shots/crosses that he ballooned into the stands).

Also got to credit Northampton for maybe the most disciplined defensive display seen at the Lane this season: defensively they were superb.

Fleck is doing the old Stuart McCall role and is probably the best we have had of that type since then.

If we had another holding player he could move further forward where I belive he could excel.

Done starts ..... Fleck plays well ......

Depends what you mean by 'Adel Taarabt type'. A player with his skills would be very welcome, but he would have to be a team-player, to avoid damaging team spirit (vital again today). Such a player would not be looking to play in our league.

There is an old saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

It ain't broke.

Adel taarabt is not the man you want sat in front of the defence - we'd be torn apart!

A modern day type who has that side to his game will do,not Adel Taarabt himself.............Fleck for me has looked i don't know tired or off the boil since the Coventry game,i mean its not all down to him,Coutts played somes passes today that i have not seen all season.

Most sides are going to as they say park the bus when they come to the lane this season.
Every club would be delighted to take a point from the lane this season.
Duffy is really our only player that can take players on and beat them. Unfortunately other teams have seen this and man mark him or double up on him.
Fleck and Coutts when they had the ball today were looking for an outlet unfortunately other than Duffy there wasn't one, so alot of the time they were forced to pass backwards or side ways.
We need at least one other player who is also capable of doing this(we are really missing Chapman).
The opening post is correct a Taarabt(better attitude) or a better JCR type player is needed especially for home games.
Someone mentioned if we played with this type of player we would get torn apart, not at home we wouldn't, when nearly all sides have come just for a point.
If we don't get an early goal we struggle a bit, and we won't always score last min goals.
For me a proper winger should be our priority signing.

No. They can overlap and squeeze crosses in but they won't single handedly go past players and create openings. They'll often turn back and pass back inside to the midfielders, slowing down counter attacks etc.
Lafferty constantly does this, which is why we end up playing in front of the opposition defence or crossing from poor areas.
