Adams Resignation

I've just had a text from a mate telling me he pulled this reight fit bird last night, he didn't FACT

I have just had a text off a mate saying he has resigned

I'd be amazed if he had, who wants to earn a reputation as a quitter? He can't have been so naive as to think there was a quick fix to the mess here, it's born of years of mis-management.

I would have those wankers in this morning!

If I was Adams I'd have personally contacted the 429 fans and invited them to the Monday morning training session. We'd have started with a 10k run and then it would be (defending and attacking) corner practice. Picking up the man, man marking and all that. I'd give Ollessendro and any of the others who made it a shirt and if they got their heasd anywhere near the ball it would be an extra mile added onto their 10k finishing run. I'd have Williamson, Ward and Yeates taking corners and everyone that hit the first man, or went out of playm, it would be an extra 20 minutes in the gym with the fans choosing the exercise and spotting the weights. Next it would be set pieces. Similar set up, but with everyone who took a free kick on Saturday (Kozzy, Collins, Ertl, Williamson, Quinn) doing the work this time.

As for Adams well I'd be surprised if he handed his note in. He is a no nonsense Yorkshire man and even though he has made a poor start, I expect him to have a good go at keeping us up. Saturday was pathetic and he has to take his share of the blame, but to quit after 7 matches would be pathetic. Maybe there is more to it (i.e. broken promises from the board) but I'#d be surprised if he went. I am sure that he is regretting his decision. He left a club on the up, with respect of the fans and a team he'd built and was playing well to a club heading down. He certainly let his heart rule his head, but I would be shocked if he quit.

It doesn't bare thinking about what would happen if he left. Who would take on the role if Adams quits after 7 games no doubt citing the poor players, broken promises etc as the reason? We might even finish rock bottom behind Scunthorpe

Players asked to come in Monday morning?
Well, yeah. You'd expect them in for a good talk and extra training.

I would have expected all of them in yesterday if I am honest. If the rumour is true let's just give Pemberton the job so he can prepare the kids for next season in Div1.

I'd agree if you're on about going over mistakes etc, but to do further training - it would be a risk after 90 minutes of football the day before.
Especially with the luck (or lack of it) we have had with injuries over the last few seasons.

Pushing players' muscles after a game the day before is the last thing we should be thinking about.

managers do it all over the country. it is not about the training; it is about not giving the players a free day. Get them into watch the video, 10 times if needed. Make them not want to lose again. It's hardly rocket science

They've all been called in in the morning and that usually means Huge questions and news. They aren't due in till tomorrow afternoon.

If this is actually true then I can see a revolt cause no Blade walks out on the blades after 7 games. there's more stuff afoot here than meets the eye and certainly shouldn't be coming out at this stage of a mangers tenure.

I never wanted to see Wardy leave but that's been the spark according to the media. I like wardy as do about 90% of the kids in the stadium. But if him leaving is going to take the club away from this sort of adversity then let him go.

If it was me I'd taken the team coach full of the useless set of Wankers to London Saturday night, given them a free bar and told them to "go get plastered", but they'd be on a sunday league park somewhere in London at 8am for a full training session, drills, fitness, shuttle runs and a circuit which would make any normal professional footballer sick...

Punishments dished out for any slackers...

The key would've been who actually went on the lash and who was serious about training the next day...

Take no shit Micky, but get these boys working this morning!

Like I say, I'd agree with that.

You obviously don't read the 'my week' section of the programme Swiss.

Great idea Swiss. They could have come to Brick Lane with a boozed up Ollessendro and his dad. By the time I'd finished ranting and raving, telling them the cunts they are and that they are not fit for the shirt and making them feel embarrassed about their performance then they'd never want to lose again!!!?? ;)

how reliable is he and how would he know mate

Not sure really he knows paul walkers brother quite well so may have come from there just posting what i was told, i fully expect adams to be in charge tomorrow if we lose then i would not be at all surprised if he did resign.

These players have been protected by ever manager we have had this season. Let them have it Micky

Just want to let it be made known that if he's quit, I'll also head my head for that.

friendly advice for you guys for the millwall clash a couple of mates of mine went to millwall away and got jumped. These lads arnt trouble causes or known for fights (far from it infact) and im not saying millwall fans set out to do it all im saying is just be carefull and enjoy the match

Wardy is part of the problem. I posted it a fair while ago that he, and by proxy his agent, had gone billy big time.
Wardy wants out and will get his wish, his attitude for quite a while now has been poor and regardless of my opinions on Adams its the players who need sorting out. Too many are pulling big money and aren't interested in rolling their sleeves up and getting us out of this mess.
Mr Ward in particular seems to think this is the right time to sulk about a new contract.

Why not help pull us out of this shit Jamie and then go asking about a new deal in the summer, I'm sure your case will be stronger than the shit you've been producing on the pitch.

In fact based on Ollies idea, lets threaten the players that any bad performance on sat, they come drinking with Mic, Fiery, Lenners and Pinchy...

I wouldn't wish that punishment on anyone!

As long as they don't go for a drink with you I am all for it. Not sure what excuse you would give them for inept performances, but you definately would ;)

Did you see the wind down there? Blowing a gale

Long coach journey too

(I shouldn't say it but I will anyway) an evening with the sunshine band for the players if they don't pick up three points against Milwall!

Cheers Swiss, at least they would be left with no illusions of grandeur

How would they do that? Would they have to save tokens or something...? ;)
