Adams' Omission On Saturday

He'd be no loss whatsoever. Shame his form couldn't have been acceptable enough to attract bids in January. Hopefully someone will still come in for him. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the club actively try to sell him to raise funds, it's the best thing to do.

I've been a fan of his from the off, but I must admit it's starting to heavily come across as though he's got one stinker of an attitude. If he were to go, I'm starting to think it would be one more off the books as opposed to anything significant being lost.

Because he couldn't be arsed to train properly.

Well let's see if he can be arsed to train back at Alfreton Town then, the little prick.

That has to be the final straw.
Got to say, he comes across as having a major attitude problem and maybe thinks he's better than he is - and if he thinks at this stage of his career that he's better than us, he can well and truly feck off. It does raise one question though.......If his attitude is bad and he still gets near the first team, how bad must Diego's attitude be?

Final straw my arse.

Can any of you genuinely say you got your head down and worked your socks off in all your endeavours, at all times, at age 19? I was an irresponsible lazy shit, myself. He's been omitted from the starting line-up for one week, but has been in it in others, meaning it's not every week where he's not knuckling down. Don't get me wrong; he needs to learn quickly that he needs to work hard whenever he's representing this club. But final straw? Come on.

He's a teenager with a few quid, for God's sake. If clubs let every teenage player go who had a bit of an attitude or a lazy streak in training, there'd be far less players coming through! You can't teach hard work; players need to learn for themselves that it's the only way towards a good living from football. Cut him a bit of slack, give him a chance to step up for real, and fuck him off if he doesn't.

(Having said that, if someone pops up with a stupid offer a la Jordon Slew, I'll piggy back him there!)

I agree that it's not the final straw TomJonesBlade but that's twice in six months that he's been dropped for a lack of professionalism. Hopefully we can kick that habit out of him and he can show a bit more of his promise.

Except it's not the first time. Him and Mcgahey were dropped earlier in the season if I recall correctly. However he needs to realise how hard he has to work. I know he is only young but believe it or not there are lads that get their heads down and work their socks off to be the best they can. The difference between those that make it and those who are so so (or even drop out of the game) can be hard work in training and doing the right things off the pitch as well.

Maybe its that's he has come from non-league (or wherever) and it has been a bit of a culture shock the amount of work that is needed and expected. Maybe he think he has 'made it' already. He has shown in flashes strength, power and an eye for goal so I think he should told what is expected and demanded to make it at a good level. Let's hope he can, he's only young so he's got time to learn.

Fully agree. One can only speculate why we haven't seen more of what he showed against Spurs and Swindon away, but we know it's in there. It's down to him really, but he'll soon find out what happens if you get a rep for having an attitude and don't knuckle down in training.

He's hardly pulled any trees up has he, potential, like dieago looks like being unrealised...

Or is it a smokescreen to allow a sale of the one last potentially decent player we have, mcabe will sell him first shot...the other option is to spend his own money, so a sale it will be..

What really worries me is that the first team are clueless and the next big things aren't getting a look in, without serious cash ( from fuck knows where ) were stuck here for another five seasons, doing it on the cheap doesn't work and for all they say we've spent it's fuck all if you want quality on the pitch..

Sadly Brian the blade is right, whilever were turning up en masse they'll just do nothing, our support needs to shift from blind loyalty, sorry but it does..

Or that he's turned up pissed or hungover again..

Its not the first time that Adkins has indicated players have been poor in training or fitness levels have been an issue. Add the Baxter issue and the reports of players out drinking regular, it really does look like Adkins inherited a squad with a Sunday League mentality.

He's obviously trying to re address this and give players a kick up the backside, but some haven't taken to it and been shipped out. The fact that nearly all the players released or on loan are all struggling to get in their respective sides or on the treatment table again, says it all.

Well yeh, there is that Tezza, Adkins wouldn't say that of course just something fluffy like he didn't train well. You only get so many chances.

First time, if I recall, was for breach of club rules, whereas it's lack of hard work this time round. So one omission for attitude/stupidity, and one for not doing it in training.

Still, 19 year-old footballer in attitude and laziness shocker? Must be a couple at every club in the land. Hopefully they're traits which will disappear with age. The difference in your thinking and attitude between ages 18-24 is huge. Hope he knocks it on the head and does well for us.

I think he needs a Dean Hammond sized kick up the arse. Adkins reckons Hammond is the ideal role model. Let's hope having more with his lifestyle around the club next season helps players like Che re-focus and fulfil their potential.

The diiference is that at 19, I was indeed an irresponsible lazy twat with a bad attitude, but I was working at Meadowhall selling shoes for minimum wage and the bosses were arseholes.
What I can say is that if I'd been playing amateur football at that age and had been snapped up by a fairly sizeable professional club paying exceptional wages at that level, I wouldn't be displaying such a flagrant sense of entitlement.
A club in such a decline as ours really doesn't have the time to taming young ego's.

Nailed it - is the lad to blame, or is he copying the others?

I'd agree here. Whilst yes, most of us at 19 years might well have had an attitude (I still have but normal people would call it a mid-life crisis), for Che Adams it's a different situation. He is in a position that 99% will never know, on the threshold of a fantastic career that will take him wherever he wants to go, if he applies hard work to his talent.

Or he can act the Twat and tweet his antics, let all that talent go to waste, and in 5 years time he'll be telling all the dizzy bints in town about his "career". What a waste that would be.

I think the question is why does this keep happening? I reckon the players would be trying harder in training if Warnock was here.

Why is the manager allowing players to not train hard? It's no use just letting them do what they want and then come saturday...oh you didn't train properly, you are dropped. Make them phucking train properly! Whether that's by motivation, fines, a kick up the arse or whatever. That's what the manager is paid to do. You often hear managers say they have to treat all players differently, to get the most out of them. What works for one, may not work for another. Clearly Adkins hasn't got a clue how to get the best out of at least half the squad.

Well yeh, there is that Tezza, Adkins wouldn't say that of course just something fluffy like he didn't train well. You only get so many chances.

Absolutely right, that's exactly what Adkins would say, and let's get it straight rightly or wrongly who could blame che for having one too many, he's seeing his career stall then getting dropped after winning 3-0 the previous week... Adkins wants professionalism before results, where have we seen that before??

If a bid comes he'll be gone, by that time we won't care will we, another perceived failure offloaded.. We have nobody else to sell, it's all gravy for our big blade kev..

Do nt put all the blame on Che. Adkins needs to assess himself, I think he would be disgusted and wouldn't allow himself to have anything to do with next 10 games. Adkins is one queer cookie.....and for what is worth the majority of the team and staff are finding it more difficult working with him than being under Clough. Bottom line Adkins and his coaches are crap and unfortunately he suckered everyone in to believing he could do the job. Mr Mcabe is finding it difficult to admit this, but it is very very close.

He won't admit it publicly but McCabe is on the same page. He wants him gone.

BASTARD!! When I heard that Sammon was starting Saturday because he trained well I didn't realise it was because his competition couldn't give a shit!
He won't change, he's only going to care less and less, you can't coach motivation.
I never thought I'd say it, but I'd get shut now
