He got a run last year in the cup against Cardiff at home. He played well enough. But Wilder can be slow to give young players ago. No one will really know until he is put in there.

If he's going to be fit, I feel a bit silly. Got quite annoyed with no incomings, with a quality CB most vital and a seemingly fake pursuit of Souttar. IF going to be fit, he's better than I'd have imagined we could get. Surprised Coventry/Ipswich/Hull(!?) didn't want him at the minimum really.

I may sound a bit OTT on reflection, but he would still be a Premier League defender (done well for a good Brighton team, only 31) if it wasn't for last season's injury.
