Depends if they’ve got him on a pay as play contract , good player on his day but as said injury blighted career

He's on £90k a week and hasn't played a full Premier League 90 since May 2017.

Risky, look at Delph to Everton. I thought that was a great deal for £8m but he did jack shit and barely played.
He's on £90k and (not) playing for arguably the best team in the world. We could have him on a third of that, with the incentive to pay regular games. He has the midfield distribution and vision quality we often lack, watch him go next season. So, cos one player (Delph, who was not good enough to lick Lallana's boots) fails, all bets on pursuing quality players are off? Think bigger guys, please.

If thinking bigger is signing 32 year old crocked players with no resale value on huge wages then I'm alright thanks.

I've nothing against spending that on a player, but one on their way up, not one who's made of biscuits who'll be suppressing his bitterness at not winning things anymore.

Even if we said we'd start him every game, his injury record suggests that's not our decision.

If we were going to go for llalana, I think we should go for Carroll ,sturridge and wellbeck as well.
Fuck those barley sugar legged walking sicknotes, we need to get Nicholas “Monty” Montgomery out of retirement if we are getting players who won’t contribute a damn thing while they’re here. At least Monty can play “Monty” in the film of it all.

"Think Liverpool" guys. Come on.

Lallana in the middle, Grobbelaar new GK, get Rush back in to solve our goalscoring issues.

Pay them all £200k a second.

Only if we get Steve Nicol in as I right footed left back

Oh and Phil Thompson back at centre half cus he was quality

I see big things for you in.contract negotiations
Don't listen to the doubters or common sense
Sell everything you own and go.for it

Doesn't fit the young and hungry with something to proove profile

He's old and hungry for the artisanal loaf he's proving, which he learned to make having been sat at home crocked for large parts of the last few seasons.

I think you should definitely think smaller mate! You think a player who is on £90k a week is going to take a £60k a week pay cut to come and play for Sheffield United?

I know he's at the end of his career and maybe you are thinking he doesn't need the money? But do we need someone like him, at 32 years old. What's your masterplan mate, is it to build "Dad's Army" in the mold of Sheffield United Football Club?

Younger, leaner, hungrier, less expensive, for me. Any day of the week.

(You stupid boy!) ;)

He may well fit Brighton's style of play but I think it's a good thing he's going/gone there - very little to show over the last couple of seasons other that an impressive list of injuries, he will take up a big chunk of Brighton's budget for the next 3 years and do absolutely nothing to address their main issue i.e. playing too expansively and being caught out

Weetabix-in-boiling-hot-milk legs! Pay as you play is the only way to go on him. Brighton never fail to amaze me. £350m spend before the start of this season, and seventeen (17) players out on frecking loan to finish miles below us! Can’t get mi breath.

You think we could have him for a third of his wages at Liverpool? Based on what?

If he’s fit he’s a quality player and certainly improves our team.
However if he was fit, he’d be way out of our league.
The risks far outweigh the reward for us
