I didn't say they were. But ultimately every decision made at the club has a knock on effect to something else and after every player sale, after each time the board fail to pursue a player, every time they fail to reinvest funds to generate future income/success, every time we choose a nice pitch over a quality player etc etc we just continue to get worse and worse.

My point was I'd much rather Jim and co. were working on transfer dealings and to stop us being a complete laughing stock than massaging fans ego's on twitter. No, Jim being on Twitter isn't the reason we lost tonight. But the fact is, what are his priorities? What is the club's direction? What do the board want to achieve? It's all just a hopeful, half arsed, unplanned mess, isn't it?

The club just doesn't have any sort of direction and with the way things go at BL, you can just see Adkins thinking "fuck this" and doing one. And who would blame him?

Confidence was running through their team at 0-2 and we seemed to have players shrinking into their shells.

Dont get me wrong the first half was a disgrace but no player wanted to take responsibilty to pass the ball and therefore didnt want it. The crowd have to stick with us through thin and thin support the players through the bad times I know they are well paid but at the end of the day Im sure we all want to get out of this division both players and fans. Boo at half time I dont have a problem with but tonights performance from some of our so called fans was worse than the players. Anybody who has played the game knows that if you have some confidence it goes a long way to improving your performance as was showed slightly in the 2nd half

I was never relaxed about the lack of investment of the proceeds. I said at the time I expected us to reinvest in the window, and would be disappointed if we didn't. I was disappointed. I was more relaxed about the sale of Murphy because I believed we were covered there, and that we needed investment elsewhere. A midfielder and a centre half being a priority. The more I see of Woolford the less convinced I am that we are well stocked with wingers. I went to the Newcastle friendly where he was shinning shots and passes all over the shop. I hoped he just wasn't match fit and would settle in. Unfortunately, he has done very little in any of the games I've seen since then to make me think he should be anywhere near our first team.

Hopefully Flynn will be fully fit soon. He looked alright when he came on the other day.
