Put pigs in 7 and I'll take it

No a fan of Bruce at all, in fact I can't stand the guy, but he knows how to get out of the league and Villa have a very strong looking squad. They are definitely the stand-out favourites for me. Can't see why Derby are so well tipped though. At the moment they look to be going backwards and selling Will Hughes for £4.5m was awful business.

I want to say that it doesn't necessarily mean that the bookies see Burton as favourites to go down, but everyone including your good self probably knows that and I can't be arsed to think of the words to explain why anyway. Wish I'd never started typing this twattin' reply now. I'm tired. I was up early today and got a little bit too much sun as well.
Sorry everyone for making you read this drivvle. I'm going now. Night everyone.

11/8 to win at home v the mighty Brentford, putting the mortgage on + £100k on credit cards, biggest betting cert since Frankel.

Tempting odds but might leave it for now. Still regretting not putting the house on Trump winning US Election and UK leaving Europe in a double. Could have retired if I had

us midtable, dark side 6th/7th. throw in good cup run & I would snap your hand off for that right now

That'll do me.

Think Sunderland and Brum will finish higher, otherwise I think that's a reasonable prediction.

Some of us did very nicely from The Don winning that election...very nicely indeed.

Can't believe anyone ever thought he wouldn't win and bet big on it when the other choice was Hillary Clinton.

I'll take that. It's such an exceptionally strong league (regardless what the idiots say)

Idiots who were following football long before you were born...

Keep doffing that cap to the exceptional titans.

overall, that looks about what I'd expect. Fulham and Derby look a bit high, Hull and Sunderland a bit low. No doubt we'll all be surprised by someone, lets hope it's us

I honestly think the pigs will struggle and we will finish above them.

I truly do.

I thought they had a great side the year they lost to Hull in PO.

But last year they were VERY ordinary.

I think the trouble with them at the minute is they seem to be falling for signing your household named players, players just after that big pay roll. We've been down this route before and it got us nowhere. Still I think they'll be in the top 6 but they have much more potential to be top 2. I don't think Carlos is the man for them.

Looks about right. I'd imagine Barnsley will finish higher though.

its an exceptionally level league, its competitive , strong,,,, meh
dont see hull doing that well, typical bookie crap all 3 promoted clubs in bottom 8
and relegated clubs from prem all in top 10
dont see boro being that high either

Appreciate that you only joined the forum a couple of months back but aftertiming successful bets is generally frowned upon and rightly so.

I can see it being quite a compressed league. I don`t get the hype over Villa as favourites; think Boro might do well; pigs to miss play-offs; Blades to be in top half; and Ipswich to be relegated.

Yes you could but you are 88 years old, have to carry on for a couple more years

Last season was a bit odd, several clubs that should have done better floundered and two clubs that hadn't been in the PL, or the top level for many years, got promoted. That's unusual in modern times and surprising, considering the level of parachute payments these days.
In many ways, with their budget, the pigs should have taken advantage of this and gone up. This season, most of the 'big clubs' have spent money and, in most cases, have done so with experienced managers overseeing their business. I think the pigs have missed the bus.

We will have momentum and if we can get one more over the line, and we don't suffer catastrophic injuries, we should be OK. We might have the occasional bad run that sees us too close to the bottom for comfort but I can't see us having to win our last game to stay up, more likely end up sixteenth/seventeenth, getting a couple of wins against teams already on the beach, using some of our young players who are desperate to impress.
