This is brilliant, just a shame none of them are for us. The number of minutes played in the 16/17 Premier League by graduates of each clubs academy.

Kyle Walker played 2,704 minutes, Kyle Naughton played 2,718 minutes, Harry Maguire played 2,306 & Phil Jagielka played 2,250

I make that only 9978 minutes.
Who has played the other 3568 minutes?

DCL + ?

Was wondering myself who there is. Definitely DCL but he won't have played many minutes. Can't think who else there would be.

Where did the breakdown of the other players minutes come from?

Maybe a mistake in there perhaps? I'm struggling to think who else there is?

The figure for Man Utd is equivalent (near enough) to 13 players playing 90 minutes in all 38 league games

I dont know if that list shows how good at producing talant we have been , or how stupid we have been for letting it all go .

Interestingly the total for Manchester United includes Paul Pogba who whilst he did spend time at their Academy, can hardly be described as a product of it after they signed him on a professional contract from a French club for a not insignificant amount of money.

Whilst it is indeed a good achievement for United's academy to be so high on the list, I suspect it says more about the tendency for Premier League (and now some Championship) clubs to just fill their squads with mediocre foreign players rather than develop their own talent. The very low figures for Hull and Watford prove just that.
