West Brom?! Pffft, definitely sign the Turkish lad then!

P.s. I should have googled his place of birth/boyhood club! Appreciate you all setting me straight!

He was on the away end at Oxford supporting the Blades after he had left.
He was also in the Tranmere end at Wembley supporting Harvey Gilmour. I’ve no doubt he’s got strong feelings towards us, but he’s a West Brom supporter.

Does it really matter who he supports? How many of our players over the years were true Blades? What matters more is whether he’s the right man for the role or not, anything else is just irrelevant

The main reason I'd like us to sign Rammers is because I think he'd be our goalie for a good decade and we wouldn't have to fuck about playing goalkeeper roulette every couple of years.

The Turkish lad could be brilliant and we could make a fortune off him but we'd be looking for another good value quality keeper again before long.

Ramsdale must be looked at seriously but on saying that just read that Man Utd look like letting Deano go on loan again, now he may come back but if I was him I'd be well pissed off. I just wonder if United could tempt their hand with a cheeky 30-40m bid for him.

But essentially what youve just said is hes only good enough for us and wont move on. Surely we need the best to progress?

Is that what I said?

I think he'll stay because we're good and it's probably what he always wanted, playing for his club at the top level.

What if Real Madrid came calling? Would you still expect him to stay?

Surely purely from their perspective his next loan should be a good standard European league to give him experience of that. Having said that I don’t know where that would be

I understand totally what you're saying it just makes you wonder what he has to do to become no1 at OT, he could go on loan to a number of clubs, prefer we had him but hey ho.

Much as I’ve valued what he’s given us I do think it’s time we invested in our own keeper. Price and wages (not to mention Manchester United’s desire to sell) dictate we aren’t getting Hendo back so it’s about getting the best we can for a price we can afford

£30-40 Million? Cheeky? Have our arm off I would have thought.

Got to say that is a spot on assessment old bean but we've got to get the selection right.

Andy Giddings tweet saying today that we're well behind Bournemouth's valuation for Ramsdale. How much "well behind" is is obviously unknown, but maybe even £15m won't be enough. As good as he is, I'm not so sure more than £12m is value for money as others have said.

He only signed a new "long term contract" in October and having sold Ake for £41m, I can't imagine they are desperate to sell. I think we'll be looking at £20m+, which is too much in my opinion

Apparently Ballmouth want 25m for him silly money, as you say 12m looks a decent price.

I think there's room to negotiate here, they still owe us a chunk of the Brooks money evidently plus we have at least a 10% sell on clause for Ramsdale.

If they get £20m for Ramsdale, (that is absolute tops, can't see them getting more than that) that's at least £2m to us and if they owe us say £3-£5m for DB36 a deal for around £13-£15m all in should be enough. To be honest, anything over that ball-park and we should walk away, rather see us spend £4m on Deano's wages for another 12m or someone like Ben Foster on a years deal.

Totally get your way of thinking on this but how much we still owe them for Moose?

Anyone else regularly reading that we're linked with him and thinking:

"Nah, I'm alright"?
I'm really hoping this thread dies down to be honest. Most of us seem to want the Turkish lad and the ones that want Deano to stay are mainly choosing that so we get to spend this £10-15m elsewhere.

Never ever been worth 25 mill, they steal Brooks off us from the champ for 12 mill yet want 25 for Rambo? Get stuffed Bournemouth, if he has an average season in the championship he won't even be worth 10 mill

I've seen very little indication that he is ready to be a regular premier league goalkeeper yet.

He was their number 1 due to circumstances. Contrast that with Henderson who is number 1, after years of proving his worth at each level and subsequently stepping up a division.
