1. Have a plan B from plan A’s overlapping wing backs

2. Sign a creative midfielder who can also cross well, Norwood cant play this level, fleck can so keep him.

3. Sign a better player on a permanent than Enda Stevens which will push Stevens

4. Buy for next season/here and now, not the distant future ie Brewster.

5. Keep jags and sharp, their experience will be needed next season, especially jags even if its a couple of games, gradually wind down playing time and move both onto coaching at the club, They are both outstanding footballers who we must not let go, they have to be allowed to retire here and both will be outstanding coaches.

6.Board need investment, spending against bank loans already, we gotta spend more cash in the prem like leeds and villa have, prince doesnt have cash, we simply have to get on the saudi connections, that country print cash. Then we can compete for the players wilder acrually wants, instead of settling for the ones that came 3rd/4th choices.

Too many changes needed in the summer imho.

Play offs could be a shout but I'm finding it harder to make the case for a top two challenge.

We're lob sided, have gaping holes already, potentially losing key players who won't be easy to replace, and despite having parachute payments, have an owner needing to pay for the ground with little wealth in football terms.

Covid has hit Championship teams but I don't see us being comfortably in the top two mix like some do.

I don’t disagree with a lot of it but a few things I don’t see happening. First is signing a player to replace Stevens as it stands we have 4 players capable of playing that role and given the amount of business that needs to be done elsewhere I can’t see us signing a left back.

Second jags cannot remain on the type of deal he’s currently on that’s a sure fire way to blow the parachute money he’ll probably retire at the end of the season imo. However if he doesn’t do that then any deal united strike with him has to be commensurate with the role he plays in the squad so he would need to be one of the lowest earners. If we don’t do this then that’s how the club can end up with a lot of disgruntled players who see a player contributing less being paid more and we’ve seen this year how any type of contract dispute can effect the group.

Third any business done has to have an eye on the future aswell as the upcoming season if we are to be able to compete in the prem if we find ourselves here again. If we hit the prem with an ageing squad again we will face the same issues we have this time. We need to build a core of players who are a good age who could perform for a 4-5 year period before hitting their peak. This would allow us to do two things first establish ourselves at prem level over that time period increasing wage budgets and the standard of facilities during that time to make us truly competitive. Or we could sell those assets at a premium and get funds for further investment that way.

Sign five creative players
4 in midfield and one up front

Keep everybody except Lundstram, Norwood, Robinson, Rodwell, Ampadu (obv), Mousett, Jagielka.

That should raise errrrrr, nowt. Quite amazing really that a Premier League club getting relegated could release half the squad and get fuck all for them. Bloody brilliant planning.

Agreed. Most of the things pointed out by OP make sense, but for championship we have more than enough fire power at LWB. We can reassess if/when promoted back to PL

No wonder he has no cash. Shouldn’t have spunked mone on buying up every club that comes up for sale

Tindall says he's in for Simon Francis coming back.

The fans will soon be singing 'He's one of our own'.
