Our average weekly salary this season is 9k versus 90k for the other united. Something to dwell on watching the match on Sunday. We are bottom of the prem and 25 % lower than next bottom Norwich on 12k. Fantastic as our performance versus salary is I wonder what some of our players make of this. Hope they get some good bonuses this season because they absolutely deserve them and will be very tempting targets to other clubs. And yet another other reason to be proud and pinch yourself to believe this is actually happening.

So the Mirror have used Spotrac.com for their info source. However looking at the wages on their website I’d be surprised if a lot of the players from last season are on such low wages.

I’d be really surprised if our average is down near £9k, I’d assume between 10-15k

No way that Jags is on £50k a week to sit on the bench, when you consider that billy is shown as £12k, McBurnie and Ravel are not even given a weekly wage either.

And who the fuck is this loanee Jacob Murphy on £25k a week

I'd say our average is between 15k and 20k now considering the increases players got for Promotions. reckon top earners on 30k plus...and i'd be surprised if there's anyone in our squad on less than 10k....perhaps Ravel only.

It does not surprise me one bit to see evidence that our salary bill is the least in the prem by some distance. But CWAK are certainly savvy enough to look after some of their prized assets so there will be a wide range around this average. Anyroad it's certainly good to be in the low pay high performance category than the reverse. Can't see us needing to panic and call in Jose anytime soon.
