Not a team of our best ever players...we all know Currie, Deane, Hagan etc would make most people's greatest United lineups. What would a team made up of some of your favourite players look like?

I've had a go and it looks pretty tasty

Depends on the era and opposition although I loved Deano as a kid I don't think that style of footballer would make it these days.

Can't agree there, Deano had a bit of everything - would've made a great modern day striker
Fair one would you have him in the Mcgoldrick role or as a front square 2 rather than 1-1

I think a certain poster hates Hodges enough for all of us and therefore he can't be included.

Purely a 'players I enjoyed watching XI' (not a 'best XI'), shoehorned into a slightly odd formation...

----------------------Tracey---------------------------
----------Maguire--Morgan--O'Connell-------------
Borbokis----------------------------------Armstrong
-------------Brown-----------Coutts------------------
-----------Duffy-------------------Hodges-----------
-----------------------Deane--------------------------

Bench:

Kelly
Nilsen
Murphy (Shaun)
Tonge
Fleck
Fjortoft
McGoldrick

One for the older members, who rarely gets a mention in posts - Chris Kamara. I remember him winding Paul Ince up from the first minute to the last in a televised match and always encouraging the Kop to make more noise when he was up for corners etc.

Paddy or Hendo (toss for it)

Walker
Morgan
Egan
JoC

Berge
Speed
Brown

MGW
Didzy

Billy

(nb - I'd swap out Didzy for a fully fit, firing Mousset but thought I'd keep it at least a little realistic)

P Kenny
K Walker, C Basham, C Morgan, D Geary
G Speed, P Coutts
M Brown M Duffy
B Sharp, R Cresswell

● Subs: Wes, Baldock, Jagielka, MGW, Tonge, S Quinn, Webber
● 4-4-2 with 2 CAM's instead of wingers.

Some tough choices picking a team of personal favourites since I started going to the lane in 2002 but got there in the end.

Henderson
Bashan Mcgrath JOC
Bobokis Brown Norwood Whitehouse
MGW
Deane Sharp

We are running away with the Championship with that line up

Kelly

Borbokis
Holdsworth
Jags
Stevens

Ndlovu
Norwood
Brown
Whitehouse

Deane
Didzy

I thought I’d get some stick for including McGrath because he only played a handful of games, but he’s popping up in a few peoples’ lineups
To be fair, he was awesome. I almost included McGrath over Jags and Cowans over Norwood in mine

It is those you enjoyed watching. We had centrebacks for a more extended time, but I loved every minute of his time with us, same for Gordon Cowans which is why I included him as well.
