bit surprised i haven't seen any discussion of the red cards yet. Haven't seen a slow motion replay or from more than one angle but:

Doyle:

Hideously unlucky. i know his foot is up there, but if you were going to stamp on someone you wouldn't do it like that. and not on his head, he's not an animal. i hate the fact they just take into account what 'might have happened', he 'might have caught his head' rather than thinking its a physical game, u can be off balance, do we realistically think he's tried to stamp on someone's face? the ref had to make an instant decision but the FA dont, but they just side with the ref every time. should have been overturned.

Flynn:

Can't believe we even appealed. must have been so he didnt feel left out. the most likely outcome to that appeal was having it extended for frivolity, feels like a win that he only got 3 games. high, clumsy, dangerous. lucky he didnt seriously hurt the lad.

thoughts?

Exactly as i saw it , usually their would be a right fracas after a so called stamping incident . i was sat on that side Terrace with Iron fans bang in line with the tackle he was just unbalanced on getting up .

At the match I thought they were both reds. Doyle made a stamping movement towards a player and the ref had no option. Flynn...oh dear
