All this talk of Academy success, as I head up on the train preparing for my pre first game of season night before match ale session later today, leads me to say;

‘Welcome back Kyle Naughton’

I last saw you at Wembley and what a journey we have been on since. No points for you tomorrow, but hope you can see what the Wilder revolution has done. We may need some cover soon, so perhaps leave your number with Reception?

UTB.

Saw him watching our first game of the season at Bolton in the promotion season. He was supporting the Blades by the way. Nice kid.

It's a nice - and says a lot about the place - just how many of our ex-academy players still take a big interest in our games. Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker still seem to try and get down whenever they can.

I'm sure he'll get a good reception as he was a very good player for us.

He's not hit the heights of Walker but he's still had a great career and been a Premier League player most of the time since he left us.

I've given you a 'like' for cleverly playing the long game and still pretending to be a 'big Blade'.

What's your view on the 'top players' that have left S6?

You must be worried that the dolphin killer has shot his bolt and you've already passed the highwater mark, under his regime?

You've obviously not read my posts about what I think of that lot in S6

Still gullibly hanging onto the belief that a fan should clap like a demented seal and never criticise

I can honestly say I have never seen one, despite asking you to comment several times.

Go on, feel free to let rip......

Happy to criticise where it's appropriate but you first few days of posts were a deluge attacking the club. It wasn't just 'deluded seals' like me that twigged what you are up to.

^^ sometimes conversations happen on this forum that make no sense to me and I just can't understand

Same here and I'm usually involved in them!

Topplayersleave joined a few weeks ago and kept slagging off the club and our player sales without ever saying anything positive. He was 'outed' by several posters, as being from NKT.

Above he says he's slagged off SWFC on here, but I've never seen it.

My conclusion is he is a less-stupid-than-usual pig, playing a long game.

My Swansea mate says Naughton wants to leave Swansea and he doesn't expect him to play tomorrow. He is expecting Connor Roberts to play at right back.

Didn't Naughton play left wing back for us with Walker at right wing back?

Don’t go to many away matches these days.

But I did go away to lower division Huddersfield, a night game in the cup.

We were terrible that night and generally being outplayed by Huddersfield.
Then on comes a teenage Kyle Naugton, think it was his debut.
And he scores a really good late goal to give us a totally undeserved win through to the next round.

we played a flat back 4 in those days. Naughton came through Academy about 6 months before Walker and looked a brilliant right back, his passing was superb. Then when Walker broke into the team, Naughton switched to the left. That is how they lined up against Burnley in the play off final.

I don't know , I sit near some proper miserable fuckers at the match who don't have a good word to say about anything to do with the club but they're still ST holders.

The League Cup game? I was there, an undeserved win and we drew Arsenal away in the next round, lost 6-0. Karma.

I hope he gets a good reception.

It'll be nice to welcome back someone I like.
A refreshing change from last season when we had lowlife scum like Warnock and Jug Eared Cunt coming back to tarnish the hallowed turf.

That’s weak. Warnock was a decent man and a credit to any Blade he met. He had loads of time for all different supporters groups and did plenty behind the scenes. You were naughty but a frustrated adolescent then anyway weren’t you? Plus ca change ;)

Oh he certainly did plenty behind the scenes, no doubt about it....

I travel 220 miles to hear that.. ok my choice to live where I do, but those fuckers don’t realise how lucky they are to have united, the lane and Sheffield on a bus route! Wek up and smell the Wards lads..you don’t know how lucky you are!!

Ditto from me - heaven on earth. Lasses might go all gooey about Poldark and the rugged coastline of Cornwall. Very nice it is too but compared to Stanage Edge on a summer morning, the walk down from Forge Dam and the sound of the Lane from Eccy Road - reight enough, the beating heart of gods own country

Yes. He laid the cricket pitch, scouted WillieCarlin and TC whilst in his teens, fought Mohammed Ali to a draw at Madison Square Garden with a broken arm, walked on the surface of the moon before Buzz Aldrin, built the foundations of the South Stand on his own, invented the academy and paid for it all himself. Promoted Blackwell over Ronnie Reid. His finest moment other than buying Geoff Horsfield.

Its all in his book I think.

Believe it or not he upset quite a few of the club's major sponsors guests with his "forthright humour". We lost them to the Pigs.
