People underestimate Lunnys pace and also the part of the field he has more influence in, he’s not far off a complete midfielder but even though he has more influence in the oppositions half he lacks the goals to have this status.

The strikers have been getting some stick for not scoring enough but how about the midfield start chipping in with some? I don’t pin all this on our midfielders, it’s the management and players who need to combine a system to get us scoring more goals, without them it’s obviously not a good scenario to be in.

Lunny has got better because he's accepted his limitations and he's fulfilling a role. Get around the pitch, keep the ball moving, get forward when you can. He's also played some fantastic forward passes. But he's still had games like Southampton where the game has passed him by.

But in the short term at least, I think the best thing surely has to be let him develop in that role. Whenever he has tried to take on more responsibility in the past he's struggled. He's had a frankly unbelievable impact based on his past performances, let's not expect him to suddenly become versatile enough to master another position overnight.

‘Only on here’ don’t label me with the other posters that post absolute shit. I have forwarded a slightly controversial suggestion and backed it up with loads of thinking/talking points inviting discussion. You might not agree with it but at least argue the point.

Most people have said that both we need to change from the flat 3 and also that Lundstram has been arguably our best player so far. This suggestion accommodates both of these things.

Remember, if on here someone had suggested that Chris Basham should be converted to an overlapping centre half in wilder’s first few weeks, the reaction would have been crazy. Try to think of players as ‘roles’ and keep their attributes in mind rather than their ‘positions’.
