Last season our target was a top six finish. This season the target is simply to remain out of the bottom three. Given that 38 points is generally good enough (the last time a team got relegated on 39 points was 2011) an average of point a game means we're keeping our target in sight. We've currently got four points from three games. Even if we lose today, we're still on course for 38 points.

My point is, we should never be disappointed with a draw in the PL, not this season at least. Anything we take from a game will keep us on course for survival. This season, a draw should be celebrated like a win.

Mathematically probably right. And in all likelihood we are going to see a lot more draws and losses then we have been used to for the last few seasons.
Given the meltdowns that happen in here, when things don't go perfect, it's going to be a rollercoaster....

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for goings balls out to win every game, it's what's made the last few years so good. At the same time, I'm not going to be stamping on my dummy if we don't manage it every time.

Should we get a succession of draws in away games I'm more than happy with that, but should we also face defeat by teams who are clearly better than us, then I won't allow this to alter my opinions about our chances regarding survival this season. As things stand, and that's three games in the Prem, we've done quite well, and so far we've not been revealed as inferior or unworthy of being part of the Prem.
