After 65 minutes against Scunny on Sunday, I didn't want us to win.

As a Blade of 30+ years it pains me to admit that but it's true. I'm so disheartened with everything at BDTBL, (and it's been pretty bad at times over the last 30 years!) and so desperate for change I actually wanted us to lose in the vain hope that it would trigger something or someone into action.

If I'm brutally honest I couldn't really give a shit if we lose to the Dingles on saturday either.

I even wandered round to the Car-Park to see if there was an attempt at a demonstration but everyone was just milling around with the same dead-beat expression on their faces.

Apathy has well and truly set in.......:(

After 65 mins I still wanted us to win but when it got close to 90 I wanted Scunny to score again.
I definitely hope we lose the next two games, ideally heavily, to see if there are any signs of life at Bramall Lane.

Whilst I always want the Blades to win I do understand where you're coming from!
Blades fans are whimps, no backbone, no heart and certainly no desire.
Jump on the gravy train during the good times and a total air of indifference during the hard times.
Sometimes I wonder if the majority of fans deserve Blackwell & Co as they seem the champions of mediocrity!!!

I understand all these feelings on here and although I never want United to lose, I felt sunday's result might kick the club into some kind of action. Sadly that doesn't seem to have materialised (I don't know why that surprises me).

The problem here is that no one at the club can play a decisive hand. The club will procrastinate until things become worse and worse, delaying the inevitable and driving away those customers they so desperately want. It's down to lack of direction and a slim (at best) understanding of what is going on down on the pitch.

Most of the supporters in the stand have some knowledge of the game and can see in our general play (and the atmosphere created by it) that something is inherintly wrong. Directors just look at results. The ones that do understand the game in more depth (i.e. Dave Whelan, Steve Gibson etc.) act quickly and decisively. They know when something isn't right and they are in touch with the supporters so they know when they're losing them.

I think I'm in serious trouble with Mrs Slugger and the 2 Sluglings. Money is tight at the minute but for a special "treat" I've flights booked and Kop tickets bought for a first visit of the season to BDTBL on Saturday.
Both Sluglings have been assured that the atmosphere will be special. Their only previous visit was v Hull last season.
Saturdays match will finally convince them that following the Blades is much preferable to attaching themselves to a big name club (Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool are "supported" by 99% of their schoolmates). Saturday will be the day that will cement them as Blades for Life!

Basically its shite and whilst I never want to see us lose I want to see an end to the negativity on the pitch, from Blackwell, from the club, from the fans in the stands and from us lot on the forums...

Sure there have been worse times than this, we're not at the same level as the previous low - Robson (Ironically this was against Scunny wasn't it). But we're heading the same way.

We're in this position, not entirely because of Blackwell, but he's not done anything to lift the mood.

The odd thing is that McCabe criticised the fans for forcing his hand with Robson, but agree with the shoe's off or not, we still had passion. The same passion that he and NW played on on our way to the PL, the same passion that he played on when he wanted us to buy season tickets and follow the Blades way and take 7000 down to Palace last season.

Yet how will McCabe now see us fans, no doubt he'll be bewilldered at the lack of passion.

So what if we're shite again, its nothing new for us Blades, we've had a taste of the good life we enjoyed it, we got carried away and thought we were a big club...

Alot of this negativity can be ended now, by removing Blackwell AND the club starting being honest and in touch with us fans again.

Come on McCabe, do the right thing now, before its too late for the pig game

There's only so many times you can announce your apathy before it starts to lose its impact you know.....

Does constantly reminding everyone about how apathetic you are, mean you are not actually apathetic? Can I be apathetic about people's constant protestions of apathy? I'm getting confused. :(

And as for these...

"Blades fans are whimps, no backbone, no heart and certainly no desire."

"Sometimes I wonder if the majority of fans deserve Blackwell & Co as they seem the champions of mediocrity!!!"

:D:D:D You've got to laugh.

Constant draws are making things worse.

Whilst winning games would have kept the wolves from KBs door.

Draws are just doing enough to prevent the axe. But doing more harm than a loss in the long run.
