No point repeating anything that's been said. We all know how bad it is. Today wasn't any worse than recent weeks but there is still no sign of improvement from what I saw.

A few points.

1. After the farce against Doncaster last week, players still kept their shirt. What motivation do they have to work harder this week? We obviously haven't got masses of players but why not start Slew? He might end up being toss and end up in the lower leagues but can he do any worse? Probably not.

2. Gary Speed for me is 100% the right man. A bloke who comes across articulate and knowledgable about the game. His problem is that his hands are tied financially and he's got very little talent or ability in the squad. Only negative would be as mentioned he's kept the faith in a few players for too long but maybe the options just don't exist.

3. Jamie Ward. Not just based on today's performance, what is his role? He's never going to score a hatful, he cannot cross a ball. Possibly just not Championship quality. I don't think the sulky attitude does him any favours and he doesn't look interested.

4. Ched Evans. Again, without repeating what's been said 100 times, he's naturally not a striker. The instinct just isn't there, we need to cut our losses and move on. But... Why not try him in centre midfield? I forgot Ertl was playing at times today. As bad as Ched has been, he's a big lad, can put himself about, has a thunderous shot (when it happens).

There's plenty wrong at the club at the minute but just a few points.

Im firmly behind Speed as well.

BUT he needs backing from the board or he may as well walk away now.

That looks like plenty wrong with the team Not the club?

With regards s10blade to point number3 Jamie Ward. I watched him today cover every blade of grass. Right back, right wing Left forward/ wing etc etc. Very similar to Bogdanovic a couple of weeks ago. No wonder he didn't score 1 on 1 with keeper because I bet he was fcukd.

The idea of Chedders using his immense football brain in the heart of our midfield has really cheered me up. :)

funny.. i've had talking heads 'we're on the road to nowhere' embedded in my skull for the last couple of hours

Not that much wrong in my opinion, yes we're playing crap, but the likes of Reid will help to add the creativity we need.

Lots of other issues but all can be solved

You might have watched him closer than me but id say he missed it because he's just not that good. He probably is one of our better options at tge moment but that doesnt say much

How can you be 100% sure that Speed is the right man? He has no previous management experience and so far has shown nothing whatsoever to convince me he is the right choice. He was the cheap option that may or may not come off, but unfortunately we were not in a position to gamble and should he fail the consequences will be disastrous.

I've been hearing Talking Heads in my brain too for a while now, the recurring lyric from Once in a Lifetime...

"Same as it ever was..."

S10. You think Gary Speed is "articulate" ! I think he's quite the opposite. That said makes no difference to his managerial ability. Looks like we're entering a pre-Warnock phase at the club. So much for those who wanted Warnock out (Sean Bean)

Mr. McCabe need to splash a bit of cash if he want united to push for promotion. i wounder where all this money is going from selling players, tevez affair, parachute payments ect. and not longer ago he sold 1, only 1 of his company's for £800m, it not like he short on cash can't he just lend us £10m he warn't even notice its gone. He will properly make that back within 2 years in interest.
