Good luck to Sean O'Driscoll and Donny Rovers in the coming season from all true lovers of proper football. :hello:
I marvel at the idea of Doncaster Rovers and proper football being used in the same sentence. I could not care less what they do next year.
Look at me look at me.............................please look at me..........................please....................not desperate or owt.
Good luck to Sean O'Driscoll and Donny Rovers in the coming season from all true lovers of proper football. :hello:

Go on then, I'll bite....
"proper football" = knocking it around the back five a bit and then losing it or launching it with the best of them then?
The only proper football they played tonight was when they shuffled the ranks and got the pacey fullback on the ball a little more.
Even then, they created very little and brought on the time wasting expert in old Sullivan.

What the favourite flavour of window that you lick?
I think thats what you call a series of bites. Good luck to them indeed. They punch above their weight and have managed their club exceptionally well. They play nice football and try to keep it on the deck. Not rocket science and light years ahead of the shambles at our place.
As for Sitwells comments of look at me, you only need to go to his "photos of hoolies in the past" to see that it takes one to know one.
You didn't go last night did you ,most people who fawn over Donny never actually see them ,you may as well go and watch a training session for a club at any decent level. The play maker ( Gillet last night) plays so deep that it becomes a lesson in keep ball in your own half in which you grind teams down through boredom. Simmonsen had nothing to do but let in a speculative 30 yarder ,which only opened up because he couldn't thread a pass through and Doyle decided to go to ground.
I'm sure Donny have their own forum where you could go and have mutual masturbate at how they 'punch above their weight' but I'm more interested in Sheffield United. For the record I would wager anyone on here that Donny will be relegated this season ,O'Driscoll cannot adapt to change and they will be found out big time.

If knocking around the ball in your own half and not producing much is proper football. Give me some hoofball with an end product any day.
Oh, Hoofball has an end product; that's for sure. It's known colloquially as Division Three.
We  Hoofing [still].
I despair.
We  Hoofing
Style of play. It looked to me last night like Wilson is doing what Speed tried before; getting a group of players who are not really suited to a passing game to play in that way. Neither Monty nor Doyle can do that and it showed last night. If he is committed to this style thing then he needs a Cowans in midfield to orchestrate play and a fast winger. I realise you should not read too much into a friendly, team in transition etc but I saw muddle last night reminding me of much that went on last season. Personally I'd much rather see a team playing to its strengths.
Beautifully put Pinch.
Hilarious that plenty of Blades still think SOD and Donny are failing and under-achieveing by playing football and staying in second tier.
