8 games in. Where will United finish?

Pretty simple - After 8 games of the 20/21 season United are bottom on 1 point. Where'd you think they end up?

I think we will improve. It can’t get much worse.

Gone for 13-17th but thinking it will be closer to 17th than 13th

13-17 simply because, of the first 8 games only really battered vs Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool the better team but we held our own for much of the game at least defensively. The wolves game was over before 10 mins but showed character, the others could have really gone either way. Bit of luck, small margins, bounce of the ball.
Whatever you wish to call it, last season we had it, so far this season it's AWOL.

Given that we have played Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea away and Man City at home in those 8 games, by far the the worst set of opening fixtures certainly out of us Burnley, Fulham, WBA and Brighton i am still fairly optimistic that we can finish at least 17th, I think our next two fixtures will tell us more.
I do worry that we are probably more effected by not having crowds at games especially at Bramall Lane than most clubs.

I thought 14th pre season, around 42, 43 points. Now I think 38 is the most we could get to and of I had to bet I'd say 28-32

I can’t see us winning all season unless we get a non-league team in the cup - and even that will go to pens.

I can’t see us winning an equivalent of 6 wins and a draw to finish above the bottom one I’m afraid, I’d love to be proved wrong but we lack any sort of anything at the moment to make me have any enthusiasm about us.

Wilder and the lads have shown us no evidence of a fight as of yet and the capitulation of yesterday was embarrassing to watch, it wasn’t helped by Lundstram lummoxing around the pitch like he owns the joint and Wilder choosing to take Norwood off instead of that twat, it’s weird shit what Wilder is currently doing and his interviews are also baffling.

I genuinely think we'll finish bottom in a similar manner to Norwich last season. I'm sure we'll pick up a bit eventually and find some semblance of form but I already think it's too late for us.

To be honest at the minute, the bottom 4 never look like winning. At least one of us has to stay up. I'm hoping that it is a record low for the points needed to stay up this season.

You have to go all the way back to January for us to have played enough games to average more than a point a game.

I think the next 6 games shape our season, we need a minimum of 9 points, possibly more.

I think we are better than at least 5 clubs in premier.with a bit better luck we will finish out of relegation places.need some or at least 1 quality player in jan .ramsdale will come good .mendy for chelsea made a couple of mistakes yesterday but werent punished .we need that type of luck

Bottom 3 I fear. I expect a final day scrap, starting with us in 4th bottom and then the usual turn of events happening. Us being relegated by 1 goal or summat.
