Just thinking, have we ever had more than 5 first team squad members all having a same former club before?

Closest I can think of is Derby when Clough was in charge when we had 4; Brayford, Coutts, Freeman, Davies

Brayford, Coutts, Freeman, Ben Davies, Stephen Davies, McEverley & Porter all played in the same season (7)

If I reversed the question, a much harder one:

Which club has had in their squad the most number of ex-Blades?

Spurs had the two Kyle's, it's late and all I can think of!

*Edit: Actually Fleetwood had Ched, Duffy, Coutts

Burton had a few I think. Thanks to Deadbat I can see that Scunthorpe had 5:

Andy Butler, Jo Cummings, Harrison McGahey, Jordan Hallam, Regan Slater

West Brom currently have Matt Phillips, Kyle Bartley and Callum Robinson.

The other year Burton had 5 ex blades.

John Brayford, Keiran Wallace, Stephen Quinn, John Joe O'Toole and Jamie Murphy.

Boston United currently have both Jake Wrights, Connor Dimaio and Keenan Ferguson.

They briefly had Andy Butler at the start of the season too but he opted to retire before playing a game and is now a coach at Peterborough.

Switch it around and if Diddzy hadn’t retired from international football
Ireland could have 4 plays in their squad / playing
Stevens
Egan
Hourihan
Diddzy
Also Robinson if he’d stayed , could have been 5

When Warnock was manager of Leeds they had Kenny, Bromby, Brown, Tonge, Webber and Gray.

Also the players we had on loan from Leeds. They were in Warnocks team.

White, Poleon and a winger but I can't think of his name.
