I thought that Kevin Gage was OK. He is certainly a better BBC radio Sheffield summariser than Keith Edwards if today is anything to go by. I think Keith was in hospital having an operation to remove his foot from his mouth. Just kidding, get well soon

Craig Beattie
Chris Guthrie
Trenton Wiggan
Barry Hales
Ched Evans(joke)

And the most booed player of the last 30 years hasn't even had a mention.

The one and only John Gannon.

Name 5 blades players you couldn't get on with however hard you tried.

Paul Iffil
Carl Asaba
Bobby Ford
Martin Peters
Brian Howard

My five also. Iffiil washed up here in New Zealand and became a big fish in a s small pond with Wellington Phoenix. Standard about Ilkeston level. No disrespect to Ilkeston, in fact having seen our new signings I would have to say that Iffil wouldn't get a game with the pigs:) I take it that butterfingers Baxter was a given.

Axel Smeets, Phil Thompson, Phil Starbuck(post loan), Andy Sayer (made debut at Forest when losing 2-0), Trevor Ross.

John Hope who got us back on track for promotion with Hockey......you must be kidding???
Hodgyman hates Hope cos he replaced his hero.

John Harris made the right decision cos Hodgy's confidence was shot into pieces and other teams were aware of this as he was making errors and letting in too many soft goals. He was like a rabbit in headlights when it came to catching crosses. I was at the Oxford game when Hope and Hockey made their debuts, Hope came out for crosses and catching them, my dad stood up and applauded him because it was the first time for a long time our keeper was confident in coming out for crosses. Hope played well for the rest of the season (didnt let in a goal for 7 successive games). He was decent in the first 5 months of the 1971-72 season (apart from the West Ham League Cup match) but had bad games notably in the home games against Arsenal and Derby before getting dropped to make way for McAlister

Wally Downes
Vinnie Jones
Adrian Heath
Dean Saunders
Lee Hendrie

Not all bad players just came across as Personnaly unlikeable.

Nyron Nosworthy
Jonathan Hunt
Andy Campbell
Jordan Stewart
James Harper

You've got me raging now, I can't stop on 5...
Marcus Wiliams
Andy Taylor
Ian Rush
Marlon King
Craig Beattie
Ashley Ward
James Thomas
Barry Hayles
Geoff Horsfield
Ian Hamilton
Shane Lowry
Both Doyle and Collins initially, not anymore
Kyle Bartley
Fortune (defender, can't remember first name)
Iffy Onoura
Ten Heuvel
Laurent D'Jaffo a little bit, until he scored at the sty

I'm not even certain I saw Ryan France ever play.

Nyron Nosworthy
Marcus Williams
Paddy McCarthy
Steve Simonsen

I never had a player I properly disliked until the recent years (started properly going about 2000).

Possibly Ashley Ward for a fifth.

Used to really not like Monty, but he grew on me, gave everything.
Same with Matt Hill, thought he was useless as a left back, but a decent centre back.

Collins
Porter
Doyle
Hayles
Craig beattie

Collins porter and doyle hearalded the start of the journey to league one, most people knew it the minute they signed, we were on our way down the leagues..

Only when theyre all gone will we rise again... and dont get all emotional about doyle, its took him years to become a "good trier"

Jonathan Hunt
Andy Campbell
Jordan Stewart

D1360 What a great recall /memory. I must have seen them all but some are less memorable than others.
These days I could do with borrowing your memory when I go to the shops. If my head wasn't screwed on I would probably lose it. Thanks for the list

Craig Short
Keith Curle
Darryl Westlake
Tony McMahon
Cluad Davis
Bobby Ford
Dave Kitson
Marlon King
Geoff Horsfield
Ade Akinbiyi

So many players who scored against Wednesday, most at Hillsborough in fact! For shame.

It doesn't work for anything outside of football I'm afraid. I'm not even kidding, I forgot to eat tea today. It's like a disability.

I could name you the full Southampton squad of 1994 but I forget the exact date of my sister's birthday every single year.

I was at that Oxford game and remember the shock when we heard Hodgy was dropped. Well overdue though in truth as you say. Must say Hope appeared from nowhere to us at the time but he was excellent until he in turn lost his confidence in the First Division. Personally I never had a lot of confidence in McAlister who didn't seem to have that inner confidence that's needed.
