The thread about the best player this Millenium git me thinking. Do you ever think that we will see a midfield post 40 goals between them again like Brown (22), Tonge (8) and Ndlovu (10) did in 2002-3. The more I think about it the more amazing it is.

The thing I loved about that team was how any of those three could receive the ball, turn and run at the opposition. Peschisolido would do the same.

That and the number of late goals we would score. If we needed one, you felt confident rather than hopeful it would follow.

It was an exciting team, the togetherness of them matched the Wilder 1.0 team.

ndlovu and tonge played wide as part of a front 3 that season - but doesn’t detract from the fact the amount of goals and assists between them shits all over this team

We seem to currently be in the 2013-2016 zone of recruiting shit midfielders who dont trouble the net, so no.

That alongside the fact we have 2 half fit strikers who are maybe capable of scoring goals is one of a plethora of reasons why we are in deep shit.

Almost certain they were the wide players in a midfield four because we then had two strikers up front (rotating between Asaba, Chief, Pesky, Kabba and Windass)
