I like Fleck, but he has looked slow so far.
Yes he has.
That's only been highlighted though because he's easily the best player we have by a mile in my opinion.

Hanson, Lavery, Lundstram , Basham, Thomas, Clarke, stevens , are these players good enough? Add to those Sharp, Fleck , Laverty, that's 10 players right there. That's a little worrying. Have we prepared for the championship properly! Has Wilder been too loyal and not ruthless enough? Ten games in, we might know better.
CW has been working to his budget. That said , I don't know why he signed players like Thomas & Lundstram if they aren't going to start. How can you improve the team if the players you sign are not seen as better than the ones you've got ? It's not logical.

Still very early 3 games into season ,I recall 3 games into last season some people were beginning to sharpen the knives a tad too early . CW said all along we'd need to strengthen in order for o compete . I think we still look a yard off the pace at the moment we don't seem to be pressing the ball aswell as last season maybe that'll come with the fitness from 2 games a week ?
As Mr Wilder has acknowledged we def need another centre half , I don't know too much about the Blackburn lad so I don't know what he brings to the table . I think Cardiff showed in Morrison there's still a place for an 'old fashioned ' centre half as he pretty much nullified Clarke , I've always rated Aidan Flint or alike but champ clubs will be reluctant to sell , I think some of the prem clubs may look to loan out a few for squad players needing game time so that might be an avenue we go down possibly .
In respect of the midfield With the 352 we still have the edge on possession , but has looked a little laboured at times than progressive in the two away games and as such we haven't managed to get Fleck , Coutts & Carruthers on the ball in the last third where they feed the front two and the wing backs haven't had the space they had last season ,teams are aware of us nowadays so that's passage they have already learnt to restrict us on , I think we really need someone with some energy & bite in there to buy some time on the ball for them ie. Coady or Leonard , we just seemed to have been a bit out powered in there in the early games , granted I think Boro & Cardiff will be competing at the top end this season so I suppose that's who you must measure yourself against .
As just said the front 2 are only as good as the supply, line so I think that's the priority but , with all the press reports hinting a Hanson exit , personally I would keep him as a sub impact player for some to hold the ball up in the last third when the midfield are struggling / set pieces and Lavery now slipping down the pecking order there may be a vacancy or two up top . The irony is that the player who caused us the most issues on Tues came from League 1 , one that slipped the net this time !
Let's see what the next few weeks brings in order to get a better assessment , were in a lot better place than we were 12 months ago & we have a manager who doesn't accept mediocrity or playing 2nd best .
Get behind the lads and show them they have our support .
