Gary Speed's got a 0% win record, shall we start on him too?

great response. Your reply smacks of desperation Matt. You know that Blackwell wasn't good enough and he achieved nothing. You have no come back to my structured argument and you lose the debate by coming up with a ridiculous question. Bravo! :D

Sorry didn't know i had to.

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that even you are still defending Blackwell. I seem to remember you being a whisker away from running around Sheffield naked because Super Kev took us through a truly awful run of games. You were saved by luck and some terrible refereeing decision

Was it not bad luck that we were in that run anway? Injuries etc. Wasn't Kilgallon playing, unfit & at left back when everybody knows he's a Centre back. I think he then got injured again as a result of being rushed back.

The injuries last season were unreal. I know for a fact we'd have finished top 6 easily had we kept the squad fit all season. (There's another argument, why is the fitness so poor at the minute? Is that Blackwell's fault? I personally thing something has changed. Club doctors/physio's not doing what they used to?)

Blackwell had a great squad to work with all 3 (or 2 and a half) seasons he was in charge. The season you talk about were we LOST at Wembeley (with a pathetic performance). I can't remember exqactly, but ti think we finished 4 points behind Birmingham. A decent manager would have had us in second. Birmingham were shocking that year and limped over the finsih line. They were there for the taking and we flopped. That season was NOT a success. We ended up with nothing. Did you have a nice day out in North London Matt? How was it after 3pm? Nice jounrey home? The football was unnattractive (although I admit effective) but Blackwell was lucky to have such a fantastic defence. Funnily enough Cotterill was the best player of the 2nd half of the season, after KB reluctantly started to play him.

It was 3pts. But that's by the by. If Reading had pulled their finger out an we'd won on the last day we'd have done it. If we hadn't conceded in the 90 sumat minute marker on the opening day we'd have done it. Just because we run out of steam or lost that bit of luck doesn't mean we had a poor season. Has it happens on paper we got nothing but we were oh so close to getting that big prize and you've got to earn that chance, which we did, we just didn't take it.

With regards to Wembley, i enjoyed the day out, it was the first time I had been to the stadium but obviously was disappointed with the result. There are some teams that will never play at Wembley so we should kind of think ourselves lucky we got there? Yes I know the performance was poor but once those 11 men step over that white line it's down to them surely. Even though we had Beattie mk 2 up front the 11 out there were good enough to win and so blame goes to them.
