just thought I’d remind everyone that all is still to play for.

I’ve not given up hope yet. We are playing below our best but anything could still happen.

I thought Brum would be the most difficult of the last three games.

We can win the next two.

BELEIVE!

Nah I don’t fancy a trip to Wembley for a playoff final again.

With goal difference we will likely need 4 points more than millwall. Which means they can't win another game also whilst derby (with a game in hand) and Brentford Don't pick up more than 3 points.

It's still possible but now highly unlikely. 6 points may well be enough but our recent performances suggest we won't be able to win both of the remaining games.

Still in the mix but I’m not sure we quite have enough to do it. Everyone is stuttering into those final 2 playoff spots.

How the fuck are we still in it with our recent form?

Because anyone can beat anyone in this league, on any given day. Hull beat Burton 5-0, the following week Burton beat Derby 3-1. It's a funny old game.

11th to 6th in 2 matches would be the mother of all turnarounds.

We're certainly still in it. No idea how were still in with a chance.

I predict a win on saturday will give us false hope, only for it to be dashed on the last day.

If we finish around 8th, it will have been a good season. Millwall overtaking the two teams that went up automatic from League 1 is a bit of a hard one to swallow, but I think a lot of people won't be happy unless we finish in the play offs. Our early season form, which saw us in second spot for a while, led people into a false sense of reality. We can try and pin a lot of this on the Coutts injury, in fact it must have been a large factor (I was trying to convince myself that the loss of one player should not make a huge difference, but the Ched-going-to-prison season should have taught me that one player really can make a difference).

Either way, we made a lot of teams sit up and take notice that we can be a force to be reckoned with at this level.

To be honest, the last day will be a celebration for me, no matter what the result Swiss. We have played some lovely football this season, admittedly more in the first half than the latter games, and had some great results, as well as some crap ones. Three back to back promotions for CW would be incredible, but I don't see it. So I want to get behind the lads on the last game, as always, come what may.

I am cutting a US business trip short, to make sure I am home for the game that weekend, tickets bought, hotel booked, just need to find a few decent beers down there to make it a good weekend.

It will probably be the last time we see some of the players, if indeed they do get moved on, or go back to their parent club. So I want to say cheers and goodbye to Big Jam, and a few others.

Up the mighty Blades.

In this city we know all too well the bitter sting of play-off defeat.
We know its consequences, and the negative impact it can have.
Are the Blades now playing well enough to win the play-offs?
As they were playing in the first half of the season I'd have said bring it on, but not now.
Clough was the greatest manager England never had.
Sometimes it's better to miss out.
I wish Wednesday had two seasons ago, believe me.

or any

Middlesbrough are almost there and I think Brentford look likely to get sixth spot.

The problem is that even if we win our last two games, because of our goal difference we will probably need Brentford to fail to win both of their matches which is not impossible, but I think it is unlikely.

You mean Brentford AND Millwall AND Bristol City AND Preston AND Derby.

That's the problem. 3 points off with 2 games to go sounds doable on paper. In reality, we need so many different results to go exactly our way that it's almost impossible. In fact, it's about as unlikely as us getting relegated at the end of the 1993/94 season, where every single result had to go against us. Only this time Hans Segers isn't involved.

Yeah but we play both Preston and Bristol City so if we beat them they're both out of the picture. That leaves us needing Millwall, Brentford and Derby (with their game in hand) to drop points.

Unlikely i know but stranger things have happened.
Whether we can win our two remaining games is another question entirely though.

Bristol City and Preston will be out of the equation if we win our two remaining games, because we will have beaten both of them. Millwall and Derby have very difficult run ins and could easily lose two games each. Brentford have Hull at home and Barnsley away to play. I feel they will probably beat both of them and get the last play off place.

Controversal but most will be here next season on their contracts if we miss out on the play offs, win them and most would be out of work?

Out of work? I'm not sure that you understand how professional football works. Even if they were told they were not needed, they would:

(i) Stay and play in the reserves (probably on improved pay terms because of the promotion)
(ii) Sign for another team, probably on improved wages because of their reputation as a play-off winner
(iii) Have their contract fully paid up and join another team on a free (thus getting bumper double pay)

I can't see how it would be in their interest to deliberately miss out on the play-offs.

TBH. Wilder said in his post match interview that some of the players don't have the right mentality to get into the playoffs!!. That's been clearly evident over the last few games!!.,
We're just not ready to get into the playoffs yet alone possibly going up to FOOLS PARADISE otherwise known as the premiership!!. I M H O. Saturday is going to give me the chance to say a. massive thanks to wilder and the lads for a great 1st season back in the championship!!!.
