Oh maxime, quel grand Willy vous avez. Est-ce que je peux retourner mes jus blancs sur votre visage ? Je vous frotterai pour avaler avant le jeu, juste j'et vous et nous pouvez alors bain ensemble après le jeu. J'aime votre baguette. M.M Fox d'amour.

Tres hilarieux, Monsieur Keenzy. L'eau de tatty de Monsieur Reynard avec le visage de le jeune garcon Chamot. Un combinacion formidable.
Zut alors!

That's all very well sir but this is an Off Licence.

How to scare promising young French footballers back through the Tunnel lesson one :D

D'ya know, you tell people that one player is good and instantly you fancy him!

Now I know why so many people slate Monty on a regular basis no matter how well he plays! :D

United's teenage French defender, Maxime Chanot, has been allowed to join Mansfield Town on a month's loan.

Reserve regular Chanot, 18, goes straight in the Stags' squad for their Blue Square Premier encounter with Woking on Saturday afternoon.

Chanot, former of AS Nancy Lorraine and Stade de Reims in his homeland, played in United's 5-0 reserve team success over Lincoln City in midweek.

MAXIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

MOTM on his debut...

New Stags loanee, Maxime Chanot, was left frustrated following Mansfield's defeat to lowly Woking this afternoon despite picking up the man-of-the-match award on his debut.

Chanot, 18, who signed on-loan from Sheffield United late yesterday afternoon enjoyed his debut, but was left to rue the disappointing result, as the Stags fell to their first home league defeat of the season at the hands of Woking.

The game's most contentious moment came 13 minutes into the second half when referee Mr Mohareb awarded the visitors a penalty for an apparent coming together between Alan O'Hare and Wilfred Domoraud.

But Chanot refused to be drawn on the incident that proved to be the only goal by claiming ''The referee is the boss on the pitch.''

However, he was pleased with his opening performance saying "'It was my first start and I was very happy with the man-of-the-match award, although I'll give it to my parents because I don't drink'.''

When asked about his future plans, the youngster said he hoped to get some good experience from his time at Field Mill and it would then be up to Mansfield and his club, Sheffield United as to what happens next.

Stags boss Billy McEwan will have been impressed with the calm nature of Chanot's early defending, despite the Sheffield United youngster picking up a yellow card for a late tackle after 22 minutes.

Unapologetic double post :)

For all those who haven't yet seen the player Foxy has tipped to stiffen up our back four in the future with his firm command of the ball and his excellent tackle... that's enough of that now... Mansfield are playing live on Setanta tomorrow night.

Is he a full back or a central defender?

A central defender with all the trappings... strong and good at heading (being over six foot tall helps too).

The only problem with him is that he sometimes has these moments of complete madness and sells his keeper short with a back pass or scores beautiful own goals :)

Ask Foxy if he makes up for these mistakes with lots of hugs and kisses after the match ;)

Strong, good looking and gives good head, you say? No wonder Foxy likes him.

Poor Foxy.

The thing is... I don't think he protests his innocence enough for my liking. Coupled with another (presumably) straight forum member's shock revelation that he "would"... should I be more worried? :D

Prehaps he doesn't have enough energy left to protest because of the "rough and tumble" of the modern game ;)

What did I say about sometimes lacking composure?

He gave a penalty away and got sent off last night :)

From the Mansfield Town OS...

As the game continued to ebb and flow, a terrific 50-yard cross field ball from Maxime Chanot to Nathan Arnold wide left, the winger's lay off found Blackwood but he was sent tumbling by Bostwick. Arnold's cross from the left-hand side was headed over for another Stags corner.

Morison's flailing arm then caught Maxime Chanot in the face but the on-loan star was able to continue.

Controversy reigned supreme once more right on half time and indeed four minutes into added time, when Chanot's tackle on Mitchell Cole was harshly adjudged to be a foul and subsequently brought a penalty for Stevenage.

Mitchell Cole then went close on 55 minutes, Chanot slipped on the edge of the area but Cole could only slide the ball wide of Gamble's left-hand upright.

However, ten minutes from time, disaster struck for the Stags and Maxime Chanot, when the defender gave away a free-kick 18-yards out, on the right flank. Chanot was then booked for something he seemingly said to referee Sutton.

The evening then got worse for Mansfield and Chanot, when the defender was dismissed for a second bookable offence in the 83rd minute, following a challenge with Stevenage's Steve Morison.

And t'old Billy McEwan is not a happy bunny... LINKY

Mansfield are doing their best to break our players...

Mansfield Town 1 - 2 Wrexham (18/10/08)

From: Stagsnet (:hello: to all the Mansfield fans viewing this thread by the way)

[Sam] Wedgbury soon limped off with a possible broken leg. 1-1 was a fair reflection of the first half, but the Stags were very poor in the second half and Wrexham deserved their winner on 57 minutes after on-loan Max Chanot was barged off the ball too easily.

Chanot was booked on 42 minutes, his fourth yellow in 2.5 games and saw him one yellow away from another suspension. Wedgbury then limped off to be replaced by Hurren.

But Wrexham were ahead on 57 minutes. Marc Williams received the ball on the by-line, he cut back inside and Chanot seemed to be favourite to clear the ball. But Chanot was barged off the ball too easily, Williams cut inside and fired a left footed shot past Gamble from 6 yards.

Chanot - 5 - Badly at fault for second goal. Also picked up fourth booking in three games. Gives away too many free kicks, though looks composed on the ball.

Wedgbury - 6 - So unlucky to pick up nasty injury. Looked comfortable in midfield. But from studying the video, it's clear he lost his marker for the first goal.

I'm cursing the lack of speakers on my work PC. A sexy French accent from a lovely young centreback could've right cheered up my day.

Anyway... Monsieur Chanot has done an interview HERE.

If anyone with a sexy accent would like to ring me up, that'd be appreciated. Also chocolate.

He hoh he hoh. ;) What's yer number, Linz? :D:D

You obviously can't see my leather chaps.

Oh dear...

Anyway, Maxime has got the MOTM nod from Stagsnet for his performance on Saturday (:hello: again Mansfield fans).

Report from HERE.

Tyrone Thompson was through on goal having barged his way past Chanot. Thompson’s shot from close range was well saved by the legs of Paddy Gamble but by this time, the linesman was flagging for a foul on Chanot which was finally spotted by the referee.

On 21 minutes, some good movement from the Stags as Chanot played a magnificent cross field pass to O’Connor.

A ball was played forward to Sills in the box but the Torquay striker was dispossessed by a brilliant challenge from Chanot.

After 86 minutes, a poor back pass by the otherwise excellent Chanot was awkward for Gamble as it bounced towards him but Gamble earned a standing ovation from a few Stags fans as he controlled it brilliantly and cleared up field.

Man of the match: Maxime Chanot

Chanot - 8 - Excellent performance, calm and assured throughout, with good distribution.

And to cheer up the ladies and the gents who would...
