I don't count last night as a third home defeat in the same regard as the previous two. A reserve 11 unsurprisingly losing in the cup is hardly panic stations or a reason to believe that our home form is a cause for concern.
Losing to Liverpool on Saturday wouldn't make me worry about the home form either.
Our next 6 league home matches are:
Liverpool
Arsenal
Burnley
Man Utd
Newcastle
Villa
If you can't see at least 2 defeats in these then, no offence, you're deluded.
Burnley, Newcastle and Villa are the key games in that list. The others are a bonus if we win or draw, although we will likely get a shock result somewhere and lose a game we'd expect to win.
We've been spoilt these last three seasons, but we need to be realistic and accept that we will lose at home throughout this season.
We were unlucky against Leicester and Soton, so there's no need to panic. Wait until the halfway point of the season before judging our home form.
