This is a good point and i'm happy that we have taken something away from a game i expected us to lose. It does sounds as though there are still problems putting the ball in the net (few would have foreseen such problems at the start of the season) and it sounds like we are reverting to the direct approach when we fall behind.

It also sounds like the Naughton / Halford partership is proving very successful and that Howard is sarting to show signs of becoming the player we all hope he will be.

I'm looking forward to next saturday after missing the last 2 games.

Yeah a decent point. Thought Spring was the better of him and Howard before he went off though.

Thought Webber changed the game by making it quicker. Especially when he went over to the right.

Webber in for Sharp on Saturday then?

I see Burnley had a good result today; could be a tricky game but they look like a team who will come and play rather then sitting back. Hopefully that will play into our hands and we can finally dish out that goal fest that Blackie keeps prophesising in front of our own fans.

Drum up a bit of pre-christmas cheer!

Hopefully so!

I also think we missed Webber against Wolves. He actually get's at the defenders instead of trying to wrestle with them like Sharp does.

Pace is always a worry for deffenders and webber has that in abundance, if he can get a goal then his confidence will grow and hopefully he can then crack on and get a sustained run in the side.

Even though I was wearing my usual rose tinted united glasses at Portman road, I hope what follows are seen as constructive comments.....

We were direct all the time, but long balls into Sharp give the lad little chance to do what he does well, poach. We just don't seem to try and get round the full backs at all Why?

Naughton and Halford do seem to be working well and kept switching which was good to see.

We didn't seem like the away team but there was little goal-mouth action to speak of at either end.

We have a striker that many championship defenders will be afraid of (BT) yet we insist on pumping balls in tha air to him that big centre halfs will win all day long.

IMO Quinny was our best player.

Yeah - I think we should be getting to the by-line more often.

Webber seems to do that.
