Or 25yr old Keith Edwards.
Which would you take right now?

Sharp offers much much more in terms of output for the team.

Edwards still the better finisher.

UTB
Billy has to do more for the team, because the service into him, hasn’t always been so good. Keith had a little fella called Colin Morris supplying him, so he had luxury of being much more single minded.

Well Billy is a much better and more effective player now than he was 11 years ago so it’s quite a hard question to answer

Similar style of play.....Sharp has 6 yard box predator/ poacher strengths just like Edwards.

BS is brilliant finisher managing to hit the target most of the time....one of the best in the business.
However Edwards was still a better finisher....he had this knack of hitting the target (forcing the keeper to make a save) 90% of the time.
KE was also decent at taking free-kicks and corners, something Sharp never does.
Although Sharp takes penalties, something KE rarely did.

Regards "Which player would you have", you need to look at the bigger picture.
Edwards was from an era where he didn't need to press the defenders, so KE could jog around most of the game
and wasn't required to come back into his own half....for any reason.
There were matches when KE hardly touched the ball, it was as though he wasn't even on the pitch.
but he had this knack of still popping up with a goal, a tap in from close range, even when having a poor game.

Where as Sharp has a greater work ethic, better link play and awareness.
Can't remember Edwards passing to team mates, he had a tunnel vision attitude towards scoring.

Edwards was the better goal scorer (do they still use the saying.....KE was the classic shit liner/ bog liner)
but Sharp is defintely the better all round player....who also happens to score plenty of goals.

So I would definitely choose Sharp......Edwards would need at least a year in the gym to get up to speed, fitness wise.

What level did Edward’s score at?
Re-posted from a few months ago (and updated):

Billy (247 league goals, 115 for us):

Top tier: 6 (all for us)
2nd tier: 128 (58 for us)
3rd tier: 104 (51 for us)
4th tier 9 (none for us)

Keith (255 league goals, 144 for us):

Top tier: 0 (though he did score twice in the SPL for Aberdeen)
2nd tier: 98 (62 for us)
3rd tier: 111 (46 for us)
4th tier: 46 (35 for us)

Keith scored more in the 2nd tier for us than people generally give him credit for, probably because he did this in his first 2 and last 2 full seasons.

Re the question, I'm not sure.

If they were both 18, I'd take Keith
If they were both 30, I'd take Billy.

Both 25 is a difficult choice.
