Brilliant stuff.

Two observations: Firstly, we made a habit around then of beating Liverpool despite atrocious decisions denying us goals (see also Deane's double at the Lane, when Whitehouse had a goal chalked off for no reason whatsoever.

Secondly, my word Gayle looked poor.

Liverpool 1 Blades 2, 02-04-1994. Went to this game and what an absolute cracker it was.

Hope this link works :):

I was there. Jostein! Jostein! Tidy team Liverpool had that day, although I think I've aged better than Neil Ruddock...

What hasn't changed was United having a goal disallowed for fuck all. Happy days, but 6 games later we were away at Chelsea...

So did I but was stood on the Kop - odd experience

I was on the Kop too. Went on the spur of the moment and the away end was sold out.

I celebrated when we equalised and got shoved down the terrace by some locals. I kept quiet when we took the lead.

I was with two scouse mates and managed not to give myself away but it was killing me

It was hard to keep quiet in the second half as we dominated it.

Our first away win of the season. We won one other away game that year, 1-0 at Norwich when I also sat in the home end.

Not only was it for fuck all, but play was brought back for our Free kick.

Despite video only being 7.34 it's apparent what a good player Dane Whitehouse was, good vision, passing and got stuck in. Tragic for him the way his career ended but also robbed the club of some quality.

That through ball for Carr cut Liverpool to ribbons. He should have buried that, or played Littlejohn in.

Indeed. I was with the rest of the Blades at the top of the East Stand.

Worst day of my life in football terms.
Went on the half empty Shed. It was more like a BNP recruiting centre.

Thinking exactly the same.

How did you manage that ?
We are repeatedly told that these spur of the moment decisions to go to an away game didn't exist

I was there but missed the winning goal due to having to go for a poo. A strange sensation sat there hearing the Blades going mad and being laughed when I came back.

I see a new breakaway thread coming...

"Away grounds you've dumped at (toilets and sinks)"
