Apologies, I thought there was one of these already but can't find a recent one on my phone (it is early in my defence).

Top 6

Norwich
WBA
Burnley
Blades
Watford
Boro

Watford up through the play-offs

Much tougher league at the top this season. I expect all the relegated teams to be challenging. WBA have to be up there, even with Bruce. Boro showed they could grind our results last season.

Where we end up will depend on keeping first teamers fit and how our midfield looks on 2 September.

There are a few teams that could be there and about as well:

Blackburn, Hull, Sunderland, Preston, Bristol City, Coventry, Cardiff

I think the bottom teams will likely be terrible though.

Blackpool
Reading
Rotherham

Still weeks to go of the transfer window. I suspect a few teams (Boro, Watford) might have a late spurt in recruitment after the season doesn't start as planned.

Top 6:

Norwich
Watford
Burnley
Blades
WBA
Boro

Probably fucked to go down:

Birmingham
Reading
Wigan/Rotherham

Would finally like to see Rotherham end the trend of yo-yoing these last 5 consecutive seasons or so though.

I think Norwich and Watford have suitors for some of their talent though, apparently there is interest in Watford's Dennis from a couple of lower half PL clubs so these two finishing in the top two could be subject to keeping some of their better players.

Top six

Norwich
Burnley
WBA

Sunderland
Coventry
Watford
Boro

Blades finish eighth, behind Blackburn

Our season will be plagued with injuries again. Brewster out again, Sharp reduced to occasional forays (but still on eight goals). McBurnie on three, Baldock on four, Ndaiye on ten. Spend most of the pre-Christmas in the top six, JTW kicks in, no signings but the sale of Berge for an 'undisclosed' (£12m) and the loaning in of two deadbeats puts paid to any playoff hopes. Hecky sacked at the season finish, which includes two 4-0 thumpings and a 5-1 battering by one of the top six clubs.

I could see the three who came down going straight back up again.

I think we are one of those clubs who are really difficult to call this season. Could go one way or the other but if I had to nail my colours to the mast I’d say we will finish somewhere between 5th and 8th.

One of your more positive days or just tired ?

A full season with Hecky in charge

Top 3 for me

I’d put some money on it but the odds from bookies ( and they have a fair idea )

Make a bet pointless

UTB

Top 6-
Watford
Blades
Norwich
West Brom
Swansea
Boro

Bottom 3-
Rovrum
Birmingham
Reading

Wouldn’t be surprised if stoke got top 6 and wouldn’t be surprised if Huddersfield went down

Nope. Just realistic. We were far better setup with Wilder to challenge for promotion. But that's then, this is now.

Hope I'm wrong, but I can't see us doing much.

Go on then...
T6 WBA, Mbro, Norwich, Stoke, Swansea, Watford..
B3 Blackpool, Reading, Birmingham

Blades 7th...2 points short of the playoffs. Dodgy reffing hell vs Norwich or somewhere. You know its going to happen.
Stoke up via Playoff

And that fellow Blades, is the level of pessimism we should all aim for.

Well done Pommpey 10/10 👍

Watford
Boro
Norwich
West Brom (if they sack Bruce early enough)
Burnley
Blades

Wouldn't be surprised to see Millwall sneak in there ahead of us, Burnley or West Brom, but that top 3 is set for me.

Reading, Rotherham & Wigan to go down.

Norwich
Blades
WBA
Burnley
Millwall
Watford (could be higher if they keep Dennis and sarr)

Relegated
Wigan
Brum
Rotherham

Keep Berge

Blades
Boro
--------------
Burnley
Stoke
Norwich
Watford

Brewster top scorer with 29 goals

Sell Berge

Boro
Burnley
---------------
Stoke
Norwich
Watford
Coventry

Blades 13th Hecky sacked in December

There’s no chance I’m seeing people put Sunderland in the top 6. Christ

Cant be arsed doing results for every game , but guestimating our results with a few surprising ones thrown in

I reckon we'll finish with 83 points which ought to get us into the play-offs at least and might challenge for 2nd spot

Some interesting top sixes here. Some think 7 teams will make it. Looking forward to seeing how that plays out

I reserve judgement until we have played a dozen matches. The first 6/7 are tricky and not necessarily a clear indicator of what the squad will be like nor how good they will be.
Having said that I don’t see more than 5 better squads at present.

Surprised how many think Burnley will have a decent season. Selling most of their best players and no Dych.

Top 10:

Norwich
Watford

Middlesbrough
Burnley
WBA
Blades
---------------
Millwall
Coventry
Luton
Hull

Can anyone explain why they think Boro will do so well? Wilder is great, but their squad is quite poor and they’ve lost a few key players.

I think he’ll probably get them contending for the play offs, but this talk about them winning the league seems a bit naive.

I’ll eat my own bastard face off if Norwich get automatics

Buendia gone, Cantwell’s become weird, Pukki’s supply lines cut, the certainty amongst the longer-serving players that a hat-trick of dick slappings await them if they DO manage to get back into the prem.

I don’t know where we will finish this season, but I stake my entire reputation on it being above these cousin-fancying, Bernard Matthews merchants.

I don’t get it at all. Think it’s cos he’s in charge. I’m adamant they ain’t even finishing in play offs
