Baldock defensively is one of the best right backs in the Premier League, hesstrong, quick, aggressive and wins tackles. He just not as good as a wing back.
I worried about him defensively going into the Prem but he's been first class. He's contained some of the best in the league.

His drive and enthusiasm going forward is still excellent, he just doesn't have that end product yet, and he will know that. There's still time though.

He's one of the beating hearts of this Wilder era though and I really don't like to see him dropped

Just over a year ago Berge was on of the best young prospects in Europe. His performances were getting stronger week by week until a sudden drop in form again.

I see people saying he's a waste, others saying cash in on him.
Personally if you want to build a strong spine of the team we need to keep Egan and Berge and really try to get the best out of Ramsdale and Brewster.
There's your spine.

I think we'll struggle to sell any of our contracted players, maybe Berge (and possibly Egan) aside.

Even reserve players will be on relatively good wages given we're in the top flight. Which could probably only be matched by the richer Championship clubs.

Worth remembering the players will have sizeable relegation wage reduction clauses

it would be beneficial to some to take pay cuts and move than to go down and take a bigger cut

It's not hate at all. He's got class he's got a lovely way of gliding past players, but he hardly grabs the game by scruff of neck and drives the midfield on. 1 to 1 heading duels he loses to midgets.
What we need is same size of Berge but with attitude of Patrick Vieria, a game changer, a nothing shall pass me,a proper box to box athlete that leads by example of course these types are expensive but at 23 million from Belgium our expectations were high.
He's a nice lad - and I hold nothing against him- but right now he definitely is not going to be a winning formula for us; if anything from minute 1 of his arrival we have gone backwards.
Put Berge in a midfield with two new, decent others..then I think we'll see a different player.
Our crappy midfield is what is letting us down, being passed by too easy, exposing the defense to the opposition ,while showing nothing going forward.
