2016/17 Season Bets

One day before the season starts, most of the transfer business will have been done, last chance to get on before it kicks off, what's everybody going for?


Blades wise, the best value I can see is 4/5 on a top 6 finish which is tempting, but I'd avoid it for the time being until we make 2 or 3 signings.

The 6/1 top price on us for the title is absolutely laughable.

For the title I've put a bit on Charlton each way at 20/1, and I've also had MK Dons at 12/1. Certainly much better value than we are.

Staying in L1, also had Ched Evans top goalscorer at 33/1. If he re-adapts well there's a chance he could be a cut above the rest.


Also had the following multiples...


Hull relegated, Norwich top 6 finish, MIllwall top 6 finish, Portsmouth top 7 finish - 9.5/1

Swansea relegated, Derby top 6 finish, Bolton top 6 finish, Portsmouth top 7 finish - 27/1 with 'acca edge' (Betfair - stake returned if one lets you down. It's 34/1 without it)

Hull relegated, Derby top 6 finish, MK Dons top 6 finish, Portsmouth top 7 finish - 6.3/1 with 'acca edge' (just under 10/1 without)

Hull to finish bottom, Burton to finish bottom, Bolton top 6 finish, Leyton Orient top 7 finish - 60/1

Swansea relegated, Burton to finish bottom, Bolton outright, Portsmouth outright - 1060/1


Newcastle ruin the outright value this season so I've generally gone for lower odds with bigger stakes, probably a blessing in disguise.

Which site are you using to be able to include these in multiples?

Just been on my Bet365 and SkyBet account and neither will let me have Blackburn relegated (4/1) and Norwich promoted (11/4) as a double.

I do a 50p each way placepot in the football league. Pick the top 3 teams in Championship, League 1 and League 2, usually make some profit on it but last season drew a blank.

I'm going for Newcastle, Derby, Norwich, SUFC, Millwall, Bolton, Portsmouth, Luton and Plymouth

I've used Betfair and BetVictor, but all bookies should allow all the combinations I've posted there. No one will let you have Norwich promoted and Blackburn relegated because it's a 'related contingency'.
