2006-07 season

Someone posted this remarkable third tier table for 2006-7 on Facebook. Scunthorpe won it (with 30 goals from Billy). Three of the top six are not even in the EFL now. Brentford, who finished bottom, and three others are now established in the Premier League, which of course we were relegated from that season. Amazing how much things can change in less than 20 years.

I count 7 teams in that table who either currently are, or have spent time in the Premier League since that season. The following year, Bristol City were one game away from that number being 8. Also 6 who either currently are, or have been in non-league as well. That number might actually be more too - I'm not sure the last time Cheltenham dropped out for example.
