A draw was a fair result but should have won it being 2-1 up with only 5 or 6 minutes to go. Not impressed with most of the players and I hate saying this but we are so far off the top 2/3. Gutted, feels like a defeat tonight but glad I got to see the game on the tv.

We can forget the top 2.

Even though there is enough points to finish there we are just not good enough.

Gutted is what I can say about the Last gasp goal.
Some very encouraging sign's tonight I think.
Monty was Excellent as was Dyer.
They came and did exactly as they planned/wanted, beating both Morgan & Beattie at all game and getting away with it.
Some better passing from us this game and less over the top so the signs are good if it continues like this.
Just need some luck to go our way.

I don't think any of the people I heard on Praise or Grumble tonight about the match actually went as they seemed to have watched a different match to me.

"Monty was Excellent"

Would love for monty to play well for united but apart from the odd moment he's never been consistent and i personally thought he was poor tonight

Gave the ball away far too often, and was lucky not too get sent off with that first challenge, which looked very reckless on replays

We need a strong battling midfielder who is also technically good, someone like lee carsley

I thought Monty did alright although I agree that he could of easily got himself sent off tonight.

Monty played well last night. This should be pointed out to the thick twat who was sat next to me. Every time Monty came near the ball, Thicko said stuff along the lines of "I fucking hate him, he's fucking shit, he can't play, he's never done any good for us."

If Thicko could get his head out of his arse then perhaps he might get a better view of the game. Monty can play, and to be fair he's not the flair midfielder a lot of fans seem to want him to be. He's good at breaking up play, but he needs a flair player to be able to pass to, and Howard doesn't come anywhere near fitting the bill for that.

I thought Monty did pretty well yesterday. There was the obligatory one or two gaffs but on the whole he did his job well. I think if Howard had done his job well then it would have reflected better on Monty but as things happened, Howard was poor... he said so himself.

Dyer wasn't amazing but we played to his strengths which we should always do. We need pace and someone who will bust a gut for 90 minutes, chase things down, harry defenders, get things moving and buzzing. With that work-rate and value he should be first name on the team-sheet next game. I wonder though. In polar contrast, James Beattie was terrible today. He made mistakes, missed great chances and took wrong options all afternoon. Yes, he got buffered around all afternoon but get used to it, man! Stop getting wound up and find something else in your locker to beat them with! You're the better, more valuable, higher paid player, aren't you? Well prove it then! You can guarantee his name will be first on the team-sheet though. And he'll sure as shit not be subbed.

I dont think any one was particulalry bad today and people really should lay off Monty, he was our best midfielder yesterday.

That said I decided I couldnt go as I was going out early and so watched on TV and I was bored with it, if thats as good as it gets we aint got much to look forward to this season. Where is the fast moving incisive pay at a high tempo we were promised? It seems to me that we just a mid table championship side at the moment.

One thing i did notice yesterday, was that when we go forward none of our centre-mids seem to be in the final central third. I can remember a number of times, looking and no one being in the middle looking for the ball. Another thing that was frustrating, was the lack of movement, again. No one seems to want the ball.

A draw was probably a fair result, poor game overall. Was pleased with Dyer's performance though!

A day late; but I did get the team formation I winged about (4-3-3) and I thought we did not really look in trouble. We could cause some real trouble if we went wide more instead of down the middle - we have the players to do it. Overall, I think the same team is good enough to hold Wolves and with some luck could cause a surpise.

Agreed. But do you reckon we'll see the same team at Wolves? I don't!
