Bladesmad are reporting about COG coming in on loan to start with.
I thought the Davies deal was up in the air a bit with Blackpool changing their manager?
Either way,always nice to have some positive transfer news/rumours
 
His scoring record is patchy, although against us, it's quite impressive. Two in two matches the season Ched had his unfortunate fall out with the legal system and the oinkers went up.

In fact, without just one of his goals against us, we would have gone up.

I'm not sure I can warm to him.....
 
If true, it is the shot in the arm the club needs right now. I suspect NC was very disappointed when COG chose Brighton in the summer and thought he was playing hardball to maximise his salary but would agree to join Utd in the end.

Personally, I think he's exactly the type of striker Utd need (& realistically could attract) given NC's prefered formation.

If he doesn't score 15+ by the end of the season I'd be surprised

Aye, he got 5 in 32 that season. His last season in League One. The same year a certain someone got 35 :)
 
I do think they hype is slightly over generated by the fact we keep failing to land him. Not that I dont think he would be a good addition. Whats he actually done at Brighton? Has he even been playing?

21 in 52 Championship starts for a struggling Barnsley side since then though.
The key question is will we be a better team with Baxter, McNulty or O'Grady leading the line?

Nothing. Which is the reason he's coming to us.

I'll welcome him with open arms. Proper centre forward.

I live near Brighton and their fans seem very unimpressed with O'Grady. Don't think he's been playing recently.
 
I am sick of hearing this "we are hoping to do something before the weekend" then the weekend comes and we narrowly win and Clough says "I'm happy with what I have got" the same cycle happens every week. I will believe it when I see it, would be a real statement of intent if we did though.
