I do think they hype is slightly over generated by the fact we keep failing to land him. Not that I dont think he would be a good addition. Whats he actually done at Brighton? Has he even been playing?
He's started 8 games and come on twice as sub and scored none,i do still think he could do a job for us and could be a good addition but like i said in another thread, how are we going to get a player who's starting for a side in the Championship, when we can't even get a player who doesn't play for his side in the same league.

We have more chance of shitting in the Queens handbag than getting a regular starter for a Championship side playing for us.

Chris O'Grady and Steve Davies allegedly close to signing today or tomorrow.

Great additions if true.

I leapt out of bed this morning full of enthusiasm, to look and see how many strikers we'd signed yesterday ...... :tumbleweed:
Oh well, perhaps the fax machine will be working in January !!
Who the hell needs strikers anyway ..... this scoring goals business is really overrated, lets just play for exciting 0 - 0 draws this season.
UTB & FTP

is the fax machine still a bit dodgy at BDTBL ?

Apparently, after agreeing to all Pools demands, they've pulled out the deal

Looks like the rumour was right re McNulty. Jaw injury sustained in a nightclub up in Scotland

What about Aaron McLean along with either Davies or C.o.g? He's had a big fall out with Parky at bratfurt and hasn't trained for 2 weeks.... Heard straight from the horses mouth. He's quick and can finish but doesn't play well in their system, hence the fall out..... Thoughts?

Should we not change the title to 1 striker? Clough confirmed Davies won't be coming as Blackpool have done a u-turn. Then when the other strikers says no we can change it to No strikers.

I was going to say it's Bryant & May but one of them went to the pigs, shame really he would have been perfect as he couldn't score in a whorehouse either.

McLean did nothing to impress me in the Bradford match. I see why he went from Hull to Bradford and dropped down back to League 1.

Jon Stead did more than McLean when he came on which is not saying much.

Uniteds attempts to sign 3 mystery strikers every couple of weeks remind me of my adolescent attempts to shag my french teacher miss flarty

In my head we were picnicing by the canal and running arms outstretched toward each other on the beach

In reality i cleaned the blackboard for her once

Yes,but did you clean it with her arse judge;)

Classic SUFC move, distract us all with this Ched tripe to make everyone too angry/stupid to notice yet another week has gone by without a striker signing on loan.

Its better than that, we were in for four, double our normal failure rate.

Dingle, time for you and Silverfox to step up to the plate. It's only been a question of when, not if. Time for you and old Basher to show the club what you're capable of. Leading us to promotion and a Wembley appearance will be your finest hour. The only question I have, when you and SF walk down that tunnel to the roar of thousands, will Silverfox have to hold the hand of his young 'un as they walk out onto the pitch?

We've just put a bid in for these four so we could get 4 for the price of 1

I think we are probably much better suited to walking into the 'lion', although cleat SF never moves from his seat to buy a round.

It's a lovely thought though and in this thoroughly depressing week for the Blades made me smile. Thank you

Must have been....

S'alright mate....for what it's worth I think a lot of what's happened can be laid at the feet of McCabe. It's been suggested that KM gave Evans a commitment that he'd be looked after upon release, silly thing to say if that's the case, but having dug himself into that hole KM set himself up for what's happened. My biggest worry is that if things get any more bleak will the manager decide enough is enough? Nigel very ably managed to navigate around the club announcement when asked what his feelings were, so this tells me he's keeping his own counsel close to his chest.

Glad I could lighten the mood mate, all I want to do is return to wishing my team onto a run of good results UTB

We could get a new Captain called Webb

think its more a case of who scores goals , often enough thats available , if someone were asked to compile a list of 15 goal a season strikers clubs are prepared to sell it wouldnt be a very long list
