Come one the real story of the summer, is who we are going to sign as 2nd or 3rd choice.

Presuming we sign Henderson as No1

Eastwood has left on loan and we already have Moore as a No2 unless we sign a better GK and he’s knocked down to No3.

Just seen Liverpool have joined the novelty 3rd choice GK banter lad club and taken Andy Lonergan on their US tour.

So I’ve had a look at who is available on a free and concluded the two options that match our criteria are

Mark Bunn
Adam Bogdan

Any more for any more? Does anyone have any contact details for Sal Bibbo?

Promising u21s keeper with potential

or

35+ PL keeper with bags of experience to take Hendo under his wing and give guidance to the squad

He was quality few years back. Think it’s great how GKs semi retire now at 32 and then squeeze a further 5 years out of the game before finally sacking it off in their late 30s.

The latter is the most likely. Not a big fan of taking promising young GKs and not playing them. Why I was hoping Eastwood went out on Loan.. still can’t accept he’s older than Henderson (only just)

He’s good but not sure he’s PL ready? I know Henderson is unproven at that level but he’s a class above

I don't blame him to be honest. Racked up hundreds of PL games, gained plenty of international caps, captained both club and country and yet he knew, we knew that some arse was going to make 'keeping goal' a big feature of his return.
