1986 Retro Shirt

I've got one, fits a 14 year old, but it's not for sale.

My two big losses:

1. The 1989-91 luminous away kit. Left it in a gym at Granville College. Still annoyed about this 20 years later.

2. A Euro 1988 USSR shirt (like the Dutch one but red). It was at my mother's, but haven't seen it for years and I suspect she chucked it. Am becoming annoyed about this as it apparently has some value.

If Your ussr shirt is very good condition youd be looking at around £400. (If you can find it !). My Holland one is worth £600-£700 due it being iconic ( that marco van Bastan volley in euro 88). The luminous 1989 blades shirt is often available on ebay, classic football shirts website and vintage football shirts site. Just keep checking them every couple of weeks. That was my first of the collection, i paid around £90 but its in mint condition.

No they’re the same. Just lighting/filters.

I've got one. In mint condition along with the yellow away and also this shirt being advertised. None are for sale though.

What I am after though is the yellow shirt with the scarves on the sleeve. Can only find Large or XL. I could do with a S or M.

And it's white 3rd shirt.. although that was only sold in L and XL

I have the Red and White one too, although mine was well worn.

I say was because I'm a bit bigger than the shirt these days.

I also have the white 3rd shirt.

Unfortunately I gave the yellow away shirt to a Greek waiter when it wasn't very old and have grown to regret that act of generosity for many years since.

I'm paranoid now about the size I've ordered. I measured myself pit to pit and ordered accordingly. Should I have amended the size up one to account for my bay window?

If thats in mint condition its worth around £240-£270. Possibly even around £300 to an avid collector like myself. They are that old they just don’t come up for sale anymore. Lovely.

I'm sure you have seen before that I have an Umbro reps factory sample of that shirt with the badges stitched into the shirt.

I also have the same factory sample yellow shadow stripe away shirt.

Got 3 of the home 83-87's shirts, 2 with the felt badges and one with sewn on badges and felt number 10 on the back.

BTW I've got the 1990-92 Home Kit, Yellow Away Kit and the White 3rd Kit all in the wardrobe. Needless to say, I'm keeping hold of all 3.

I am not going to entrust Mrs Hare with the washing of this treasured garment.

That way at least it will remain XXXXXXXXXXXXL and fit perfectly for years to come.
