Star journos, Dean Hammond, Nigel Adkins, Martin Woolford, these men all have the same thing in common, they are all inevitably CUNTS!

I'll not be one to praise Kevin McCabe, but on good authrotity he was livid last season he provided the biggest wage bill & we had the lowest finish in 30 years was it?, the players let themselves down & thank fuck the culture is slowly starting to shift.

How does Kevin McCabe know he provided the biggest wage bill last year?

Also, there's a distinction to be made between wage bill and actual budget.

Wage bill includes all those that were already at the club, most signed by Clough.

Budget of course being what was spent on new players wages and fees.

I would say McCabe has it about right when he says the wage bill was the biggest in the division. I don't think the budget was, but it'll have been up there with the wages we paid Hammond, Sammon, Edgar, Woolford, Sharp, the fee for Sharp and then Baptiste. It was certainly enough to see improvement on 5th.

A lot of people seem to be getting mixed up between the two when in reality they're very different.

We could have paid peanuts for all 5 new signings and we'd have probably still had a wage bill well up there. Which is why it was confusing to see McCabe trying to use that to justify anything at all to do with the 15/16 spending.

Not disputing any of that, but there is no way McCabe knows what every other club spent on wages last season due to the accounts not being published yet. The statement can't be right but because McCabe has apparently said it, it must be true.

I agree that he can't know if it's the case but I don't think he's far wrong.

And I too don't think he'll be far off but to say it like it's gospel at this point is quite frankly bollocks.
