120th anniversary kit

Nipped over to the superstore yesterday and picked up one of the 120th anniversary kits for a fiver. Spent ages reading the bloody thing. One of the first names I spotted was John Ebbrell so I guess it really is every player who ever played for us.

Also spotted the 'retro' kits I really fancy one of the really old ones with the old club crest but there was one which was a copy of the 1990's one with the really thin red and white strips with a black stripe in the middle that looked really really poor. Why bother in the first place? can't see them shifting many of those

It definitely does have every name because one of my friends Peter Moore played for United's reserves/fringes of the first team squad in the early 80s and he has his name on the shirt.

He's Wednesday through and through and was thoroughly disgusted about it - much to my amusement.

...as was a staunch Pig colleague of mine who played the last ten minutes in net of Paul Stancliffe's testimonial and found his name right in the middle of my shirt!

My Grandads on it, just to the right of the badge, John Christopher, and he played in the 40's!
