What were our fans cheering at after their disallowed goal? Radio Sheffield commentators couldn't work out what they were cheering at and said they must be cheering at nothing?

We were taking the piss out of them because one stand went up thinking it had gone in when it had gone wide, it was quite funny.

Good performance today, thought we deserved the win. Derby never really threatened us, the back 4 looked comfortable throughout. Thought Harper looked good, talks alot to the midfield and seems to be the type of leader we've been missing.

Jamie Ward - get him on the training pitch practicing 1 on 1's. He'd get 20 if he knew what he was doing in the situation!

Excellent, excellent, excellent away performance today from the whole club.

Blackwell: I bet many were wondering why Harper was replacing Chedwyn before the game but he was vindicated with the first half performance where we should have been a goal up (clearly onside, saw at HT on TV on concourse) and maybe more. Also thought the substitution was clever - Henderson for Evans - as they were coping well with Hendo in the 2nd half and Evans forced us to change slightly (not too much though) and gave Derby something different to think about. Good call to play Quinn "in the hole" too as I think he had his best game of the season (that I've seen - missed Reading).

Team: Good, solid away performance. If we play like that, we'll win more than we lose away and that is a good thing. Bunn was excellent in the air (IMO, that is more important than shot stopping in this division) and I stand by my claims that Kenny is not missed whilst Bunny is here. We should be talking to Blackburn ASAP and sorting out a permanent deal for January. Morgan and Killa were rock solid as per, Kyle II showed glimpses of why he will be better (IMO) than Kyle I and I thought that was Taylor's best game at SUFC. Monty was immense as usual and other than a couple of scary moments, he dominated their midfielders and won most 50/50 balls against them. Harper looked composed, kept it simple and maybe could have scored second half (when he headed wide despite looking as if he had time to control and shoot) and the wide men - Ward and Treacy - looked dangerous, particularly first half. Henderson was simply Henderson - many knock the big fella but he is the perfect man for our away style regardless of the lack of goals (although he shold have had one today).

Fans: Superb support from the massed red and white ranks behind the goal and a good banter with the Derby fans who were beside us (praise to them too and it was a good atmosphere) made it an enjoyable match.

Here's hoping that its the first three points of nine this week. UTB

Overall a very solid performance.

We may not look like going goal happy every game but for us to concede either takes a moment of genius from the opposition or an individual error, we're not easily carved open. We limited Derby to one chance in the first half when someone didn't pick up their man but even then it would have taken a great finish to score.

Going forward poor Henderson seems isolated, had a good goal ruled out and it was a good idea taking him off as i could see him being sent off. Quinny, Monty & Harper all did well and Treacy was probably our most creative player with young Ward using his burst of pace twice to great effect but twice fluffed his finish.

Great support, great 3 points. Things are looking good.

Playing well. Quinn playing same role as evans, behind henderson. Goal probably off but flag incredibly late

Get ready for another BBC Iplayer freeze tomorrow but at H/T on the TV's they kept showing the moment it left Ward's boot and I am almost positive Henderson was level. You are right about it being late though, as soon as we scored, straight away I looked at the linesman, who must have flagged atleast four seconds after it hit the net.

The linesman was wrong (Hendo was level) and incredibly late - most Blades were going bananas by that point.

Saw Glen Little after the game, he was walking away from the ground - asked us where the train station was! Must be heading down south for the rest of the weekend. He declined our offer of a lift! Seems a nice bloke!

Was that the one in front of us on his left boot with all the net to aim for and he dragged it wide?? Should be hitting the target from that far out!

Think i'd play Ched up front instead of henderson... seems he can hold the ball up and control the ball and not have it bounce off him.

Ward needs to learn to put 1 on 1's away. Should have scored.

good win and great from the blades fans! Roll on Tuesday!

No, the disallowed one. But that was abysmal! I think Hendo is a poor man's EMile Heskey - great for hold up and build up but doesn't score goals. I still think he should play away from home though. Chedwyn could play in the hole or come off the bench and have an impact as he did today.

Agree re: Wardy. If he was lethal in front of goal, we'd have a world class striker on our hands. He did get goals at Chezzy so I wonder if it's the better defenders and goalkeepers / he had so many chances at Saltergate that he couldn't fail to get a shedload?

Would Sharp have put it away(if he had the pace)

No-one has mentioned yet another poor performance from a referee. When you get all four sides of the ground chanting 'You don't know what you're doing' you know he's REALLY bad.

Definately level, I got a free ticket for the home end through work and was sat dead level with the Play, Hendo held his run in case Ward squared it and the Lineswoman ( I think she was, was at the other end!) got it wrong.

Compared with the scousers second against Burnley yesterday, similar situation, Benayoun's shot parried by the keeper and Kuyt follows up. Looked a close decision to me , but mysteriously, no flag...

Like you say was most definately onside, the replays prove it.
