Well done tonight Blades. I listened to most of it and it seems we played very well although QPR did sound poor. It seems Evans, Morgan & Siep got the most praise.

Pity that it looks like it was a tight game as their two goals were very fortunate and not a lot we could have done by the sounds of it. Having said that, there were two heart in the mouth moments right at the death.

Keith Edwards continued on his mission to piss me off with his comments about how QPR bringing it back to 3-2 makes it an interesting game and how had QPR scored in the last minute through one of their chances he'd have had no complaints and congratulated the lad on his goal!!! Although I did have to laugh when he went ballistic out of the blue at Quinn for overhitting a free kick.

Be interested to get Keenzy's take on Evans and Cresswell, sounded like they did alright tonight!

I can offer you one if you want, as I was there?

Creswell and Evans both played very well tonight. They didn't link up so well, but both worked extremely hard. Creswell scored and was involved in the other 2 goals. Evans battled all night and won his fair share of headers. His touch was excellent and he brought other players into the game. However he looks to be lacking a bit of confidence. His head went down on several occasions when he didn't get the run of the green. Also his miss was criminal. Clean through and 12 yards out he went for power and hit the bar. I thought the linesman had his flag up, but the fans around me said they thought it would have stood. It also looked like he should have had a penalty. It was at the other end to the Blades fans so it was difficult to see. He seemed sure to score with just a tap in from 6 yards out and went down under a challenge. However the ref gave nothing.

Very spirited United performance. Great result and a good night. It was a good spectacle and I enjoyed it. The Blades fans were in quite good numbers and good voice. I'll write a full report tomorrow, but i'm going to bed a happy Blade!

Well done lads!!! :D

Cheers Ollesendro, I didn't realise you were there as well!

So question is... Who starts up front on Saturday? I'm assuming Hendo isn't fully fit, but he may start him

Keith Edwards was quite critical of Hendo when he came on as he said he should look at the way that Evans had played and proved that you don't need to always get into a physical battle with the Centre Halves

Perhaps try Evans and Cresswell again? Evans and Camara? Camara and Cresswell?

You were there so you'll have a much better idea than the rest of us that were sat in the warmth listening on the Radio or Bladesplayer :D

I'll be there on Sat

For me Swiss it's Creswell and Evans again. Henderson is not fully for and I'm not sure about Camara. I'd have both on the bench though.

Creswell is scoring and playing well and Evans played very well last night. he just needs a goal that's all. I think if KB has faith then he'll score. The goal is definately coming.

I was pleased that the fans didn't get on his back last night. All supporters were encouraging him and telling him to keep his head up.

Anyone remember the stick Henderson was getting at the start of the season? He was struggling and took a a lot of flack. Them he scored a couple and suddenly he was joint top scorer in the league. I honestly believe that Ched can do the same. It's important Blackwell sticks with him.

Cheers Olle!

And I think once Ched starts scoring we'll see him lift his head and get a load as well as laying on a few. 1 on 1's i'm not concerned about, its just a confidence thing. Wardy went through it last season.

Its good to hear something positive about our strikers, its been long enough since we had interchangeable goal scoring strikers!

So I wonder if Keenzy will have a similar opinion as well.

You're welcome Swiss.

Credit where it is due.

Evans showed real potential alst night. He is strong, he has a good touch, his interchange play is good and he gets his head up and looks for the pass. He missed a sitter, but he was unlucky not to score when he was hacked down in the area.

I think up fornt is now our strongest area. We have 4 good stikers. Creswell is limited, but he works hard and is scoring. Evans has a very good all round game, but things just aren't going his way. Henderson is a great target man and has proved he has a good eye for goal. Camara is electric. He is fast and very dangerous. To be honest i'd be happy with any combo (other than Cresswell and Henderson).

Which probably means that will be his partnership then :D

To be fair I siad before the FA cup that this should be a good chance for Evans to get himself sorted and hopefully he can kick on now

An interesting result. Apparently a good performance from Nick "Not really shit at all" Montgomery. Yes, the same Monty some decry as always shit and never ever capable of passing to a team mate, making the pass for Williamson to score.

Also nice to see that Blackwell made an "inspiring" substitution when he brought on Ward. Ward who scored with his first touch. That'd be Kevin "No Plan B" Blackwell then.
Unless of course changing plans and play by swapping players isn't a Plan B at all.

Even though it is.

So, nobody here to slag Monty and Blackwell off for their efforts against QPR then?

Makes a fucking change.

We did sit back again. Couldn't keep the ball in the opposition half for longer than 2 mins. Seen it a few times with blackwell, Sit back on the 18 yard box and hope for the best.
