Liverpool are being permitted to have 10,000 in their stadium, and Everton just 6,500.

It seems that local councils have the final say over how many people will be allowed in a venue and both of these figures are well below 25% of the respective capacities.

In the circumstances, and once Sheffield City Council, SAG and SYP have put their oar in, its fair to assume that we might be looking at 4-5,000 tops.
No doubt SYP will have this down as a cat A fixture with full riot police deployment, the entire horse section patrolling the surrounding area and of course the barriers up with the helicopters spotlight making sure nobody gets too close to each other followed by the customary patting themselves on the back in the local rag on Monday for another job well done

He'll get sent off in the game before
yeah see what your saying automatic ban and misses burnley game ive a better idea dont play him and pick him for that last game and let him suffer the abuse which he deserves from our fans

I seem to remember that at one point the helicopter seemed to be hovering during every home match, don’t see it so much these days

I think it’s shared across Yorkshire now, after cut backs. SYP are now using a light aircraft more frequently. Hear it flying around at least once a week.

In terms of the Burnley game, I fancy it. If nothing else but to be part of a little bit of history.

You might be more right than you think on the number

I’ll find it too hard to be positive about this bunch of wasters....I’d sooner stay in the pub for that one, and resume my SUFC love affair...In the Championship.

8000 should be enough to give them a good round of BOOOOO's

4-8k ... whatever the decision is will be a very strange atmosphere for sure. Don’t really know what to expect. Imagine it may be of general apathy and quite spooky !
Don’t think they’ll even put Lunstram on bench to save him from hostility.

Yeah I think they moved it out there when the City Airport's runway was taken up. Makes sense. But you're right, the noise is very annoying from the aircraft.

If its down to them it will be More like 4 fans.
1 fan in each stand with 200 police on duty and a 12 noon kick off.

shouldnt be anywhere near the pitch at newcastle ive never been somebody to scapegoat any united players that give 100% and put a shift in wearing the red and white stripes but this guy has taken the piss this season and both wilder and heckingbottom have allowed him to get away with it cant wait for him to be out of our club
Don't get your hopes up. I hear Wilderbottom is bringing him back on a 1 year contract for the championship.

Source: None whatsoever

Are the club going to announce the details then? It’s not long now until the game.

THey have 4, two not used the other very infrequently ,syp spent millions of them to find they aren't fit for purpose ,two are permanently in the hanger .

That adds up to three
If they are used that infrequently how come people see them regularly

Have you read that article ?
In your original post you accuse SYP of wasting millions of pounds on planes that are not fit for purpose
These planes are / were supposed to be used on a national basis and were purchased through Home Office funding. So SYP havent wasted the money it was the Home Office and the National Police Air service that spent the money not SYP

Sheffield - or more particularly the bodies and organisations that control it such as the City Council and the Police - continue to illustrate time and time again that it is the retarded land that time forgot.

This evening we've seen a fixture at Brighton - where the capacity is lower than the Lane's - with 7,900 in attendance which is actually a touch more than 25% of the capacity of the Amex Stadium, and 8,000 at Southampton which has a capacity of 32,000 just like the Lane.

The story is the same across pretty much all the other grounds for these final 2 games - 10,000 in at the grounds that hold over 40,000 and 25% of capacity at all of the others.

Why then is it only in Sheffield that the usual interfering officialdom has caused the number to be limited to just 5,096 which is 16% of capacity with an entire stand closed?

Given that some sort of similar guidelines on the percentage of capacity that may be used are looking likely to be in place for next season, it seems inevitable that we can get ready for significantly greater limits on how many can attend our games, than will be the case for every other club in the league.
