It's on. There's no way we aren't taking the title. We are beating all before us with a patched up side. Enjoy it.

I am not sure 88 would be enough for a top two place this season.50 points in 22 games is unreal.
50 in the next 24 won’t be needed and won’t be attained.
40 / 44 from last 24 surely enough (to get to 88 / 92).
UTB
That’s the difficulty in my mind, that there are three teams in the division which look capable of achieving a very high points total - Leeds, Burnley and us - and there are only 2 automatic promotion places. I think it’s entirely possible that there’ll be a team this season which achieves 90+ points and doesn’t get promotion.50 points in 22 games is unreal.

Yep most neutrals would pick a team who had achieved six less points than us for automatic promotion. That’s the difficulty in my mind, that there are three teams in the division which look capable of achieving a very high points total - Leeds, Burnley and us - and there are only 2 automatic promotion places. If I was looking at it from a neutral perspective, given the number of changes United made over the summer, and the fact that (In my view) we have a strong first 11, but don’t have enormous strength in depth, I’d probably put Leeds and Burnley as favourites.
100 points again
I’d disagree - both Leeds & Burnley are dropping points away from home in games they should be winning. Our strength this season is to win ugly ie. and I’m not sure Leeds / Burnley are showing enough of that. Yes I can see us dropping points from teams around the top 6 - but honestly the way we are managing games against the rest of the league is ruthless. That’s the difficulty in my mind, that there are three teams in the division which look capable of achieving a very high points total - Leeds, Burnley and us - and there are only 2 automatic promotion places. You really aren’t thinking this through are you ?Yep most neutrals would pick a team who had achieved six less points than us for automatic promotion.
100% agree. 3 strong teams all at it with Sunderland nipping at all our heels. Boxing Day is hugeIt will take more than 90 for 2nd place this time
There's no reason to expect Leeds and Burnley to get worse, and this is a weak division
It's easier for us than the rest of the teams. All the teams we've played so far are below usIt's on. There's no way we aren't taking the title. We are beating all before us with a patched up side. Enjoy it.

Agreed we could end up with 0 points(I am a glass half empty guy lol) from those games they are tough games.I like your optimism but it's a big statement to make with the next four games coming against Burnley, West Brom, Sunderland and Watford.

I'm not too bothered about Boro and Blackburn they both dropped points yesterday. Its Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland that don't seem to be dropping points, and getting last minute goals and penalties and opposition players sent off.'Judge them after 10 games', 'let's see where we are at Xmas' - the prevailing wisdom is always to keep your powder dry. With good reason. The 10 games and Xmas milestones are well established and historically are shown to have merit.
As it turns out, we've easily passed those tests, but we still have huge amounts of work to do. Even if we recruit well during January and pull in decent points over the next 2 weeks, l still won't feel it's job done.
I'll not start feeling comfortable until l see us with a 9 point cushion on 3rd and a couple from Leeds, Burnley, Sunderland, Boro and Blackburn start to fall away.
Yes, and we’re still not safe from relegation.Going great guns so far but too early to get carried away with this type of stuff.
Way things are going we could finish third on 90 points and lose to the Pigs in the play offs.
Imagine that![]()
Well, yes, I do accept that if we're talking about a neutral who's only reference point is the league table, they would probably conclude that the current top 2 will finish as the top 2. I was thinking of someone who took a closer interest in Championship football, who might conclude that the lack of depth in our squad would start to have an impact as the injuries and suspensions wrack up in the second half of the season. Of course, some of it will depend on who is in a position to strengthen in the January transfer-window, and that remains a bit of an unknown for us.Yep most neutrals would pick a team who had achieved six less points than us for automatic promotion.
Between last night and what will be tonight, i'll be 60% thereWhat about 100 pints from now until New Year's Day?
Doable?
I think much depends on what these three squads look like on Feb1.That’s the difficulty in my mind, that there are three teams in the division which look capable of achieving a very high points total - Leeds, Burnley and us - and there are only 2 automatic promotion places.
